    Tupac didn't try to be a super lyrical guy though, that was never his style. He never attempted to be a Nas type.

    I think technically, Tupac still had a pretty impressive flow, and had a good amount of multies which were unique during that time. His production on 7 Day Theory was also revolutionary to the time, that s--- was unheard of at the time.

    Tupac also proved his versatility in that he could make any type of song, party bangers, conscious tracks, story telling tracks, gangster tracks, braggadocio songs, etc.

    I was thinking about BTNH, they sounded great in their first 3-4 albums, but after that their voices sounded weaker (Kray had some lung problems, Layzie didn't have the strongest voice anyway, and Bizzy was f----- up overall lol, he sounded like a cat or something on some solo/group records). The harmonies (pun not intended) in Eternal and AOW were great though, same with Ressurection but I rarely listen to it.

    Yea I haven't really revisited their much later material so I should have taken that to account...In their heyday they were incredible, shame they got plagued with all those problematic issues that de-railed them. If they were a newer act now I feel they could have had some nice success.

    Recognizability doesn't mean good. Jay-Z has succeeded as a rapper despite his voice, not because of it.

    Agree. The high voice he has sometimes kind of annoys me. For example on Kingdome Come (almost the whole album). And also on the song 'I Do It For Hiphop' as an example.
