9/10 - the album that took 2pac up another level, I was a fan of his earlier albums but Me Against The World is better by a fair margin.

I agree with you though, I started listening to 2pac early into my teens, one of the first rappers I've heard of and Me Against The World didn't appeal to me on first sight, but later grew on me. This album sticks to a theme with what 2pac knows the best and that is survival. It also has a few touching/sensitive tracks as well. Standout songs for me are If I Die 2Nite, Heavy In The Game, So Many Tears, Death Around the Corner and of course Dear Mama.... God there are so many good songs on this album. :whew:

It's my 2nd favourite 2pac album and a close 2nd as well. Highly rated album and deservedly so.

blue chips 2 is incredible. the first installment has his signature songs, but he might be more consistently vivid and fun here. both tapes are head and shoulders his best work

By far my favorite 2Pac album, to put it simply it's him at his most introspective and genuinely sincere. Whether he's paying homage to legends on "Old School" or talking about relationships on "Temptations", Pac's writing was on point throughout the album it's just impressive how much subject matter he dared to explore. Also it's home to imo the best rap song of all time "Dear Mama".

This is tied for my favourite Pac album after 7 Day Theory.

I love the production and Dear Mama is a f---ing tearjerker.

    Dooooope album.

Very substance rich. It's an incredibly personal, introspective, emotive, deep piece of work. Pac shows us who he is here, it's interesting to hear him deliver that through his verses/storytelling.

The productions alright, it's the least impressive aspect of this album imo, but the sound is fitting for the theme/overall mood.

I'd give it a 8/10. Shouldn't be as underrated as it is, it's a really good project.

Probably his best album, but not my favorite. All Eyez on Me and 7 Day Theory have more replay value for me so I don't listen to this album as much as I should. I think this album will grow on me more as I get older though. Either way, it's a great album.
