It's one of the best and creative projects I've ever heard, it's in my opinion one of the Top 5 greatest albums to come from TDE. He really delivered on Cilvia Demo and I think he just got better with this. My favorite song was definitely AA, even though Stuck In The Mud was pretty close.

I remember anticipating this album so much. Day it dropped I went to Best Buy and copped the cd. Never really skip any tracks on here, except maybe Who I Am for when I’m not in the mood to hear Big Sean. The features were so f---ing solid. Hold On has my favorite Rick Ross verse of all time. Great debut project and one of my favorite rap albums. 8/10Ordinary Joel, Unintercoursewitable, Chigzzer and 2 others like this. -

I was too soft on this album at first because I really wanted to like it, then way too hard on it to make up for that when I admitted it wasn't that great. There are great songs on here — but as an album, it's a complete and utter mess. Feel No Ways is great, Too Good is great, One Dance is great, Still Here was the best Chief Keef song of 2016. There some other good songs in there, but it's hard for me to give this album a very good score when you have to cut the track list nearly in half to make it play cohesively. Luckily, he figured out the formula to big album like this with More Life, but that doesn't change the fact that Views is a mess. 5.5/10.pluto✰, Enigma, Ordinary Joel and 2 others like this. -

I don't look at this album with that much contempt as I once did, the singles were pretty fun and there were some genuinely decent moments on this album, namely on the production side (see the MJB flip on Weston Road Flows or U With Me?). The album was too bloated and his execution felt really flat on an album that should have represented a superstar at the epitome of his abilities. It's like Drake himself didn't really know what kinda album he wanted to make.
Considering this is sandwiched between IYRTITL & More Life, it was a really strange part of Drizzy's career.Poohdini, Ordinary Joel, Guma and 2 others like this. -

To me, this is Kanye's only true misfire. 8/12 of the songs range from good to absolute classics, but the other four are pretty bad. As a label album, there are some clear omissions like Q-Tip not being present while features from other artists take over (2 Chainz, Mase, R Kelly, and Rae are great on here but it makes it feel less like a true GOOD album). I love the first 7 songs (Kanye is notably pretty absent after that), but then it falls apart completely until I Dont't Like which feels kinda tacked on. The album was clearly rushed, being released just days before the last day of Summer. If the first half is any indication, this could have been an absolute classic. Like TLOP, it's a rush job, but unlike TLOP, which boasts a sort of manic charm to it that encapsulates Kanye's emotional strain at the time, the result is a subpar album. The good songs are good enough to make it worth listening to, however.

Album has some weak songs and the hooks on this thing are sometimes the weakest part for example the opener. It can go from really good like Sin City to extremely boring like The One and The Morning
The singles like God Flow, Mercy (personal favourite) and Cold were definitely the highlights along with couple others. Overall i dont consider it a kanye album nor i put it on a place whenever im ranking his discography but good compilation 7/10Ordinary Joel, SpursandGermany100, Michael Myers and 2 others like this. -

Based upon 17 ratings, SXN80 gives Lil Wayne's Tha Carter an 8.2. Next up:
As most of us know, Lil Peep's rise to fame was tragically cut short late last year after an accidental overdose. Though Peep was only making music for a few years, it was only getting more creative, more refined, and arguably better with every project. Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1 was Peep's last release before his untimely death, and at a concise seven tracks is probably the easiest entry point into his catalogue. What do you rate it out of ten, and why?

It's crazy to think that Wayne wasn't even at his peak yet with this album. It's a masterclass of rapping even if he was just getting started. Pick your favorite 20 songs from the C3 era and clearly that's his best project, but we all know that it didn't go down like that due to leaks. Beyond that, in terms of legitimate albums, I think it's a toss up between C1 and C2 for his best. I used to be in the C2 camp all the way, but over the years I came around to C1. Mannie's production still sounds fresh today and Wayne is charismatic and effortless as ever. @Fire Squad put it so nicely I can't really say much more.
Gonna go with 9/10.Poohdini, Ordinary Joel, Fire Squad and 1 other person like this. -

After being the sub machine gun of the Hot Boys, he sort of developed this high glass ceiling that someday he was bound to break. Wayne decided to one day throw his notepad in the garbage and what came out was unshackled creativity and an unmistakable cadence that we came to know and love. I saw this album as the bridge between old Wayne (splendid Mannie Fresh production) and the Best Rapper Alive (stream of conscience flows and rhymes).
Theres some filler that drags this album down--it is after like 20 something tracks. But overall you can't go wrong with it and it was one h--- of a final hurrah for the Mannie Fresh-produced era of Cash Money.jmillithauglybasedgod, Poohdini, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this. -

The start of maybe the best run in rap history and Mannie Fresh was at his peak with the production. I actually revisited this fairly recently and it sounds fresh af to this day, so many rappers are still taking cues from Wayne’s style here that it never really aged. Timeless classic.

8/10- Tha first Lil Wayne album I really like in his discography, and symbolic of how big Cash Money Records was at one point. Mannie Fresh is a really good producer, and some of his best work is on this album, with credits on 14/21 songs, which brings me to my next point-it’s too long for me, I feel like an hour and 15 minutes is too long and it could have been shortened. Overall, it’s a great album and one of my favorites.
