First there was Purple Swag; the forbearer of the cloud rap wave, straight outta NY but drenched in syrupy Texas trill, accompanied by one of the greatest music videos of all time, featuring that unforgettable white girl with the grills. Next there came LiveLoveA$AP. On Palace, the epic opening track, Flacko sounds like the swaggering son of Bone Thugs and UGK. But don’t confuse him for a “wannabe New Orleans n----- slash lean sipper”. Songs like Peso and show that Rocky is still a Harlemite at heart, just far more open to incorporating different regional sounds than almost anyone that came before. True Rocky’s always been more about style than substance. But LLA also contains some of Flacko’s best writing (see Out of This World). With Clams Casino, SGP and Co. behind the boards though, its the atmosphere that really makes LLA what it is, rich and hazy, pretty and gothic all at the same time. Even though Rocky’s latest output has been in a bit of downward spiral, LLA is undoubtedly his opus, and one of my personal favourites of all time. I give it a 9/10.

There’s not much to say that hasn’t been said already, but it’s a 10/10. Every verse is great, the production is fantastic, their chemistry is really good & it holds up extremely well. I saw them perform the whole album in July (Method Man bailed last minute though) and they were good, it’s just too bad m--- wasn’t there.Sav Stanfield, Ordinary Joel and Ricky like this. -

10/10, and it comes from the heart. This is still one of the best pieces of art the hip-hop culture has offered to the history of music. Inspired, powerful, funny, beautiful. Terrific beats, great lyrics from everyone involved.Ricky, Sav Stanfield and Ordinary Joel like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Just relistened to this and it's slightly more cohesive than I thought. Still a ton of filler and soulless singles. I never was a Drake fan, but this is low even for his standards.
Disc 2 is terrible.

really bad album, too long, only good songs were singles, cringe and bad attempts to look good after pusha destroyed him, cringe rollout, cringe cover, massive step back after more life.

Waay to long. I can get the 2 different discs but never feel the desire to listen to this from start to finish. Also this doesn't have a song like One Dance that sticks. Gods Plan and Nice For What are dope singles though. Blue Tint and After Dark are my favorite songs of this.. 6.5/10Sav Stanfield, Ordinary Joel and Sea Mauville like this. -

Drakes albums have been declining ever since NWTS for me. Theres some good songs on here but nothing really eye catching or classic. I also agree with you regarding the length after listening to disc 1, i never really had the urge to carry on listening to disc 2 although theres decent songs on there too. Having said that I'd probably give it 6/10 being generous.Ordinary Joel, Sea Mauville and Sav Stanfield like this. -

I’ve never liked Drake. I’m just not invested in his story and find a lot of music cringy. Plus his output post IYTR has been all over the place. But ever since I first caught wind of him from his feature on Wayne’s Dedication 3 mixtape way back in 08, his massive presence has kept me checking out his albums every time a new one drops. Supported by a handful of enormous singles and of course, the highly publicised beef with Pusha (where, I thought Drake actually held his own, for a little while at least), Scorpion came out ok, in my opinion. Its not nearly as bad as its been made out to be. The Drake on Disc 1 is the Drake I tend to prefer and while there are the typical few slip ups, I think its a pretty solid effort. The production alone warrants some serious recognition. Despite some incredible standouts, Disc 2 is where I really lose interest, somewhere between the ugly instrumental on Summer Games and the incredibly insipid Ratchet Happy Birthday. One of Drake’s better albums is buried somewhere in here. But a full 90 minutes of Aubrey is just too much.
I give it a 6.5/10.

And yes, like you said its not as good as Monster, maybe not even as good as BM and 56 Nights, but it does feature some of Future's best music ever. I find myself returning more to this than any other Future project tbh. It may be closer to a legacy solidifying album than a purely creative project, but I still think its a vital moment in 2010s rap.Buddha, Zeugma and Ordinary Joel like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -
