    Quite possibly atop the tree of short projects that were released last year. I haven't revisited in a while, but goodness me it was enjoyable. IYKYK and TGWP are the standout tracks for me.

    wouldn’t say best of my decade, but it’s close to it, just needs the replay value which barely exists for me to give a higher score

    The high points on DAYTONA are definitely up there with some of the best hip-hop music that has been released this decade. 8.5/10

    compared to all the hip hop albums I heard in 2010s: 6.5/10
    compared to the "most highly critically acclaimed and 'biggest' rap and hip hop albums of the decade": 9/10
    not sure what the criteria for rating is given the format so choose whatever rating you think is most relevant.

    What is most striking about this album is how incredibly well it’s aged. From the moment you switch on IYKYK, you’re immediately taken back into the summer of 2018 in the absolute best way, wanting to be there again. Push might be the best example of how age doesn’t give you an excuse to be out of touch, and you can stay in your “pocket” while developing your sound at the same time.

    If you ask me what west coast music in the 2010's should sound like, this is my answer. This is definitely the vintage west coast sound with a new school touch. YG is now one of my favorite Compton rappers and DJ Mustard grew to be one of my favorite 'newer' producers. I Just Wanna Party makes me do just that and My N*gga remains an absolute classic, to give a few examples. YG's 2014 debut album gets a 9/10 from me!

    @Michael Myers excellent choice!

    Even though I love Still Brazy, I've always had a soft spot for this album and still think its YGs best solo album. Mustard was on FIRE, the guests all murder their spots and YG pulls it all together in what is absolutely one of the greatest, game-changing albums of the decade and one of my personal favorites. Solid 9/10.

    One of the most cohesive albums I’ve ever heard, it’s literally impossible for me to play any song in isolation, gotta listen front to back every time. Mustard took over the world that year and YG really did bring the west coast back. 9/10

    10/10. The production, storytelling, lyricism, and flow highlight this modern day classic. My Krazy Life is the ethos of bringing together classic rap elements with modern soundscapes. Top 10 album of the decade, and not even YGs best :emoji_wink:

    DAYTONA - 8/10 - Pusha doing what he does best, kanye doing what he does best. It's short, sweet, and succeeds at what it sets out to do on just about every level.

    MKL - 9/10 - One of the biggest and best surprises ever for me when I downloaded from SL's download section on a whim, not really knowing who he was and not realizing he was the guy who did "Toot it & Boot it." Ended up being one of my favorite albums in an already amazing year for rap. It's one of those albums I'll probably never get tired of.

    Well, never been a YG fan anyway but this album was crazy. My n----- track was stuck on replay for months. A strong 8/10. Wish I gave Daytona 7.5 after this lol but whatever.

    Talk about an album that just totally took over a year. “My Krazy Life” came out when I was a Junior in high school. There wasn’t one party you could go to where songs from this album weren’t being played multiple times. It’s maybe a bit cluttered on the back end but hardly takes away from its greatness. 8.5/10.
