Nov 30, 2018 lol same here, just stumbled on Hot in Herre on youtube a few days ago and then had this whole album on repeat. the nostalgia is strong. Man your opinions are getting better and better fr. love the contributions
Dec 1, 2018 I'm gonna skip this one since I haven't listened to this whole album more than once or twice (long time ago). I'm gonna listen to it this weekend -so thank u Sav- but hard to fully judge it. But I see 'Dilemma' and 'Hot in here' on the tracklist that alone makes it good lol. Timeless classics. Splurge is also a great song.
Dec 2, 2018 7/10 This was an interesting revisit, granted it's not the slice of nirvana I was hoping it'd be but man hearing that unmistakable 2000s R&B sound brought me back to a happy place. Nelly does take a step back compared to his energetic performance on Country Grammar and the run-length does go on for too long, but the singular moments where he delivers what he does best--making hits--he knocks it out of the park. p---- Juice is the best song oat and Air Force 1#s was your instant messenger sound don't lie.
Dec 2, 2018 Listened to this yesterday. Forgot how good this album is. Rediscovering p---- Juice has been the highlight of my week. Also, the skit where the dude is trying to buy the Nelly cd really makes you think back to a bygone era. No one rushes to the music store to buy the newest cd anymore. Anyway, this album was a bit long but is put together very nicely. 7/10
Dec 2, 2018 A lot of nostalgia in this album for me. Sure it’s no Country Grammar but it’s a very underrated follow up; the hits never stopped and Nelly was still one of the best rappers around when this dropped, marrying radio-friendly tracks with his St Louis sound in a way he never would again. The album runs too long and sounds very of it’s time, but the producers and guests all bring it (RIP St. Lunatics) and stop it dragging too much. 8/10
Dec 2, 2018 Nellyville gets a 7.4/10 from 5 ratings RATING 8: Metro Boomin, 21 Savage & Offset - Without Warning Release Date: 31 October 2017 Label: Boominati / Capitol / Epic / Motwon / Quality Control / Republic / Slaughter g--- Tracklist: 01. Ghostface Killers ft. Travis Scott 02. Rap Saved Me ft. Quavo 03. Ric Flair Drip 04. My Choppa Hate Niggaz 05. Nightmare 06. Mad Stalkers 07. Disrespectful 08. Run Up the Racks 09. Still Serving 10. Darth Vader Its a pity that Ghostface Killers is by far the best song on this project, it kinda leaves you feeling disappointed that those same heights aren’t reached for the rest of the runtime (excluding maybe Ric Flair Drip). Still, this is one of my favourite projects from 2017 and over a year later is still in heavy rotation. 21 Savage has been d--- near the best feature artist of 2018, and already on here he was showing marked improvements from his previous work. Offset is in top form, once again proving why he’s by far the most valuable Migo (say what you will, Takeoff doesn’t come close imo). Both 21 and Offset them are dropping new projects in the next week or 2 and I have unreasonably high expectations for them. As for Metro… it’s no secret I’m a Metro stan and good f---ing lord does he shine on this. Like his recent compilation album, each track is interwoven with its neighbours, making for a listening experience that is completely cohesive from top to bottom. You can’t help but feel outright terror as 21 and Offset trade bars about hacking you up without warning over those nightmarishly dark and twisted instrumentals Metro seems to be able to pull out of thin air. Plus that snarling hound on the album cover is f---ing perfect. If I had to nitpick, the album does drag a little towards the end and if you’re looking for variety you won’t find it here. Still, its a solid 8/10 for me. @RateThisAlbum
Dec 2, 2018 8.2/10 such good chemistry between these three, they play off each other so well it's only gotten better with time best song is Still Serving
Dec 2, 2018 I’ve never really liked this project. Production and Offset were great but I could never really get into 21 Savage. It’s not bad, but not my cup of tea either. Getting Ric Flair to do a rap video though>>>>>> 5.5/10
Dec 2, 2018 Incredible really. Metro did his job providing beats that actually somehow sound scary, and Offset and 21 mix really well together. One of my fav projects from last year, unexpected as h---. Offset was at that time best Migo by far imo, and I always dig 21, not to even mention him on Metro beats. 8.5/10
Dec 2, 2018 This might be the first album I cannot rate due to the fact that I never listened to this. I have heard few songs but need to listen. I'll give it a rating when I do.
Dec 2, 2018 Not bad and has a few really catchy songs. Production is the highlight of the project for me. 7.5/10
