I've always been mixed about Travis, in some parts he's a great curator at bringing in the right people to create something thoroughly enjoyable. On other parts it bugs the h--- out of me at how abysmal his rapping is, lacks purpose more often than not. Rodeo is both of those principles colliding, there are some undeniable head-nodders like Oh My/Dis Side and others where he's literally a sacrificial lamb offered to the guest who bodies him on each song (the aforementioned Oh My is very much an example of this too lol).
I can't lie, this still has some fun to it. He def addressed some of his notable weaknesses of creating and sticking with a theme like he did on Astro, but I still have to hold some of these flaws accountable on Rodeo.Sav Stanfield, Ordinary Joel, Enez and 1 other person like this. -

One of the most impactful pieces of music I've ever listened to on a personal note, really defined my year in 2016. The wait for this was agonizing, Frank was thought to be a missing man, adding insult to injury was that hilarious stair-building promo he did for the equally brilliant Endless. I could tell from the skeketon of that project we were in for something special once Blonde came around. Once Nikes hit, you were packing your bags for an adventure into the surreal world of Frank Ocean.
Frank's writing has always been cryptic and equally descriptive, he combined that aptitude with a avant-garde approach to vocal pitch changes and ambient atmospheres, even abandoning basic song structures to give us something unique without it being overly complex. Each track realized it's purpose; they're personal & equally engaging, you still won't be able to understand the enigma that is Frank Ocean, but he humanized himself just enough to reach a cordial appreciation to his thoughts. No other contemporary R&B/Pop album sounds like this, few were brave enough to ever venture with their range the same way Frank did on Blonde. To me, this is one of the defining 3 albums of this decade.Sav Stanfield, Ordinary Joel, Sea Mauville and 1 other person like this. -

I kinda feel the opposite to @Joshua Smoses I loved Blonde when it dropped and ranked it above Channel Orange at the time, but I found myself listening to it less and less over time and I almost never revisit it now. It’s still a beautiful album and I like it a lot, but it just didn’t have the longevity of his previous projects to me. This sounds kinda negative but I do like the album and it’s still an 8/10Ordinary Joel, Enez, Sav Stanfield and 1 other person like this. -

Best thug project by a long shot. Always thought he was overrated until this. But I really, really enjoy BTG. I've listened to it three times in the last two days and I still really enjoy it. 8/10Sav Stanfield, Ordinary Joel, Enez and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Skepta is really the only artist I can think of who's been able to translate the early 2000’s classic grime sound to an album format without changing it even remotely. Konnichiwa is gritty, real, and hilarious. Although I disagree with it being his best album, it’s still an 8.5/10Ordinary Joel, Sav Stanfield, Enez and 1 other person like this. -

Probably my favorite album of all time.
The combination of unique and amazing beats that seem to be worked w untill they were perfect, Kanye's charisma, great guest verses makes it an experience I never had with any album before or after. I could go on about every single song except a few good songs (compared to the rest, classics) how much I like them.

Was previously Future’s best album until The Wizrd came along. Pained R&B Future is my favourite form of Future, and this is him taking it to the extreme. Essential summer music.
