Listened to it through all the way once, then skimmed through it a 2nd time..that's more than I ever thought I'd do for a new Em album again.
It's good. I like about half the songs and it's definitely a nice surprise out of nowhere and better than I thought Em would do again. I'm more happy for him and his legacy etc than happy for the album itself. But it's fun, Em is pissed, Em dropped a fun solid album again. It's unbelievable really if you think about it, to me at least it is..

I don't know exactly how this album will be to me long term, if I'll go back to it a lot etc..But I'd give it like a 6.5 or 7/10 for now. Didn't like the 2nd half of the album nearly as much as the first, most of the last few songs kinda s----d imo. Ringer is probably my favorite track for now.

Normal, Lucky You and the last 3 songs are not good. Venom had potential to be on some My Darling type s--- but it comes off sounding like another Monster & Doritos anthem.

I do agree, the rest is really good. The Ringer and Fall are d--- near masterpieces. But thats only like 5 songs out of 13 tracks. Pretty sure you'll all be changing your minds in a few months once the hypes worn down

I find myself compelled to tip my hat to the man. I came here this morning to b----. I heard that Eminem was releasing a tie-in song for "Venom", an idea between 10-20 years out of date, and it made me cringe to the core. So yeah, colour me surprised when I hear an album has materialized.

Em dropped the pop beats, the rock-rap, the girly hooks, added rap features, trimmed the fat, avoided another s-----y album roll out and actually surprised me with this release. That cannot be understated for me. The music will have to settle, but Eminem as a character and rapper is just about perfect here. The defiant energy is back. He is calling names and being petulant, but more importantly honest. This is particularly cathartic to me. 8 years ago, Eminem had a similar point to prove and I found it really disappointing that he spent so much of Recovery apologizing. Not this time. The flows are fast yet mostly interesting. His voice is decent. I was way too happy to see Paul return. g.d. nostalgia.

The back half is weaker than the front. The beats are an improvement but still not great all around. Some duds. Way, way better than Revival but I'm not going crazy. It's probably a 6/7. Fair play to Eminem though. If he can stay in this kind of space, there is more to enjoy ahead, and I haven't thought that about him in a while.

Don’t care loved it so its a solid 10 though I don’t hate on Revival like most fans of music are Em’s lyricism no matter any project has never let me down as a matter of fact Venom reminds me of his introduction on the SSEP before it leads into Low Down, Dirty

I got this tied with Relapse for 4th, ems flows are nothing we aren’t seeing in every other sector of rap so if I take isssue with this I literally have to take issue with everyone from Migos to Kendrick lamar

i do acknowledge it’s not perfect but it’s such a jarring transition from nearly every painful habit of the last 8 years that most people can’t help but be excited

I wish the album ended on a stronger note. Venom is a cool song, but the album starts off with such a b---, that anything with less of a punch was going to feel underwhelming.

This album being 13 tracks is what makes it great. Every em album has a thread dedicated to cutting tracks to make a good album. This is like the result of one of those.

I see venom as a bonus track tbh. It even has in brackets how its for the soundtrack. I consider good guy as the last track.

On first listen I enjoyed about 6 or 7 or the 11 tracks, Probably would keep 9 now. Even the ones I generally would hate have replay value or I can listen to when going through the album. So the 'filler' stuff I don't skip.. and with that I am now enjoying them too as they can organically grow on me.

A solid 8/10 for me. I hated Revival (max 2/10). This is literally almost everything I wanted from Em and thought he is incapable of. Good beats, good mastering, flows I don't lose interest in listening to (Although I feel he should rap more like the stepping stones song..hooks meh), no poppy hook bs, the features he utilized worked well as opposed to ruining songs on his previous 3 albums. Only real critique is he should be coached a little more on doing hooks as his own hooks can be hit or miss. But yeah, on first listen most I have enjoyed an Em album outside his first three. Relapse took years for me to appreciate.
