Jan 14, 2017 If anything it had the most potential to be a classic. Amazing production, a few songs already classic (My Mom/Deja Vu/Hello) the latter that could have been a great single. And some good songs like Elevator / Same Song and Dance / My Darling / Music Box. With a little less accent/cringe lines it could have been solid. At least one of the best sounding albums
Jan 14, 2017 would have been an amazing album if the all concepts had better execution. still a great album tho, the last third is GOAT. 3AM a top 10 Em song too idgaf
Jan 14, 2017 Though I have to admit, I don't necessarily compare it to Recovery. Relapse is a cult classic, but Recovery is an actual 4th classic Eminem album. I have more fun listening to Relapse, but Recovery is a solid album from start to finish.
Jan 14, 2017 Not really. Doesn't even sound like Em for the most part... it's really generic and the amount of obvious label interference in it makes my head hurt
Jan 14, 2017 That's a common criticism of Recovery, but I haven't found anything generic about it. Eminem is still Eminem on it, great verses. Only the beats are unlike him. Even Love The Way You Lie ends with a classic Eminem imagery relating back to the chorus where he'd literally set her and the house on fire.
Jan 14, 2017 Am I the only one who thinks Hello is wack. I mean I can't actually remember the verses but hook is so wack to be a single for Relapse in my opinion. Relapse has grown on me over the years too but I can't really choose on among his post hiatus albums. They all have their positives and negatives.
Jan 14, 2017 Hello was a single? Regardless, Hello is great. Without the accents it would be like I'm Back Part 2.
Jan 14, 2017 Need recovery on Relapse like beats to test your theory tbh Not like I'm back 2, but it's one of his best songs ever
