Absolutely not. Relapse is easily the worst album of his career while Recovery is easily his best work since 8 Mile.

    Yup.

The worst album ever constructed in the history of music. Of course. lol,

    You do make smile Swizz.

Gandolfinis dead BTW. Get over it.

    :emoji_wink:
    Agree to disagree hommie.

Lyrically relapse is about a million miles ahead of Recovery.

I dig the concept and the accent never bothered me one bit.

since Arch Dogg said it, you know it isn't true. Recovery is easily his worst album. You can argue about the placement of the rest

i remember you - fan of Em since you were 11.
I think Relapse's production is pretty good thought his accent, the flow and the whole content in the album are literally bad

wtf does Gandolfini have to do with anything? No shots you take at a dead man will make this album good lol

Diabetic waffles, hard tacos, bodies waddling, wine and Captain Crunch, pang pong with his own dang dong, peeing on Rihanna, felching, A1 sauce, dancing in red pohnties...no idea how an adult could consider this good lyrical content (maybe you're not an adult)

I love the idea of this album more than I like the execution of it tbh..I could have definitely done without the accents for the most part and some of the corner lyrics. I don't regard this as one of his best albums but I do think he's at his most natural on this than he is on Recovery or MMLP2..he sounds more like himself, like he enjoyed his job

d--- Swizz your boyfriend or some s---??
    Don't get all emotional.

You don't seem very observant. I'm hardly foaming at the mouth, hence the 'wink'.

I really don't care that Swizz doesn't know the difference between tehnical ability and content/concept (the latter is what is what it seems he doesn't care for much)

So you can't grasp the conecpt that the dude is playing the role of a sereal killer throughout the whole album? Now thats bound to change the subject matter compared to your conventional hiphop album significantly. Maybe too much or your liking. The lyrics are weird cereal killer s--- that doesn't make you look fresh when you bump it in the whip, and so you don't f--- with it. Whatever the reason. Sweeeet.

Good for you. It's awful, whatever. Good for you two man (and the majority of d-ck riders who concur with everything the 'names' on this side abide by)

    Have a nice day.

Relapse is great because it's suppose to be dark and not light hearted like the real slim shady.
He returns to the rap game officially but lets you know he's been through some s--- and the album reflects that. I like how dark it is.
It's not "Yay Eminem is back!!" it's "woh.. Eminem is.. back?" kinda startling.

He actually wanted to rap again and chose exactly what he wanted. No one forced him to do anything.
Unlike Recovery and MMLP2 which has corporate influence, Relapse is him at his natural.

Yes there is a huge wasted potential but overall it's so nice. So nice. His freestyles with Tim Westwood are my favorite songs by him.

I mean in terms of making more songs with meaning.. Underground is great but he's just showing off.. there's not too much of real content in terms of meaningful lyrics. He coulda used that energy to create TES type songs. Don't get me wrong, there is room for rapping just to rap as the album would be boring without it but I feel he coulda made more GOAT tracks like My Darling/Careful What You Wish For/DejaVu.

Then again I guess that's why Recovery exists.

Buffalo Bill is one of my top 5 Eminem songs.

The Relapse era conjured one of his best songs of all time. The questionable reliance on horror fantasies and accents soured some tracks but not all, and with flawless production and rhyming throughout, I think Relapse could have been a formidable album with better track selection.

Relapse as it is... it's decent enough, though your enjoyment will depend on your tolerance of its flaws.

The albums good but not great. Its his best post hiatus album to me cause I enjoy the concept of the album more than most, even though at points it still goes overboard. Lyrically it has flaws as Swizz pointed out earlier but anyone who says they don't like the album because of its lyrical flaws is yet still enjoys Recovery and MMLP 2 is looking for an excuse not to like it. Lyrically those two albums are just as bad if not worse than Relapse.
