I made a post about this a while back and everyone called me nuts :emoji_slight_frown: lol. I think the album has aged so well.. The more I listen the more it feels like that was the last time we heard Eminem sound the way HE wanted to sound. Not just going off fan feedback. The flows are literally 11/10, and I agree the accent works well on the second visitation of the album. It adds to the theme, which was nice to have rather than just scatter brained songs. The technical skill is off the chart. Only issue I can really think of are a few bad songs dragging it down, but I think if it had two or three more decent to good songs peoples views of that album would've changed drastically. Also the timing was off. I feel like if he would've released recovery then relapse people would've appreciated each more

I guess the Marshall Mather LP s----d? Oh raping his mom and j lo, having a son and a new brother. Timeless music, right? Oh wait, it is. Its Eminem bro .. That's sort of part of his game. Shock value is obviously intended.

Best post-drug Eminem album by far in my opinion. At the end of the day it's something different and creative, albeit with a few horrible tracks but some really great ones (Deja Vu, My Mom). Rhyme schemes and flow are just downright impressive. Not a classic, but a cool novelty project that sits apart from the rest of his discography and it's interesting to look at how it ties into his mind state and career during this period. Much more palatable than listening to the awkward forced punch line screaming Marshall we've come to listen to since then. Replace Insane, Underground, Crack a Bottle, and Old Time's Sake with Elevator, My Darling, Drop the Bomb On Em and CWYWF and you've got a d--- solid album, imo.

Hello isn't bad but it COULD have been a great. That song and his normal Voice would have been an amazing comeback single.

My thoughts exactly. It still feels more like a true Eminem song than the majority of post-Relapse songs IMO.

For a long time fans of Relapse argued that "at least it felt like an Eminem album" and it took a long time but in a weird way I kind of get that now. The stuff he has released from Bad Meets Evil-now has been SOOOO bad(with the exception of some stuff from Shady XV) that it made me kind of appreciate parts of Relapse.

Hello is a great song, at least I've always thought so. And relapse has this sort of weird pretty bad/pretty good feel to it. I would take Relapse over MMLP2 any day

Yeah, even if the majority of Relapse is a misfire (to say the least), it still feels like Eminem at its core. I can't really say the same for any of his later projects, even if some of them are better overall.

Agreed, Relapse is awesome. At first I hated the accent, now it doesn't bother me..those flows are untouchable though.

Crack a Bottle is the worst eminem song of all time. I'd take Fack and Wee Wee on repeat for a month over listening to that song one more time in my life.

My Mom, Insane, Deja Vu, and Beautiful were all good, and I think My Darling, CWYWF & Elevator should have made the original tracklist. Crack a Bottle & Must be the Ganja were solid, but everything else was sub par, minus the production.

It is the most well produced Eminem album to date.... But the content of them songs were boring... serial killer really?
I don't mind them accents, but yes It felt like Slim shady album without slim shady... but the word play and structure were crazy!
