Jun 8, 2015 He recorded those songs with the idea of MMLP in mind though. It was a great plan, but was obviously not as successful as the original. Definitely feel it was a stronger concept than Relapse which was basically him becoming an arab serial killing r--ist.
Jun 8, 2015 I get what you're saying with it being better than relapse's concept, that's no argument But I feel recovery is the concept that was both the strongest and executed the best
Jun 8, 2015 I agree. Recovery was definitely a strong concept and was clearly the best executed out of the 3, but for me the idea of him revisiting some of the things from his best or 2nd best project had the potential to be better.
Jun 8, 2015 I'd say MMLP2 is the best concept. If he wasn't so fed up with being this technical rapper instead of a good one, it would've take the cake.
Jun 8, 2015 Best production - Relapse Best concept - Relapse Best lyrically - MMLP2 Best execution - MMLP2
Jun 8, 2015 Best beats - Relapse Best concept - Recovery Best lyrically - MMLP2, I guess Best executed - Probably MMLP2
Jun 8, 2015 So, when a 40 years Old Rapper do a Serial Killer Concept Album it is lame but when actors play a Serial Killer in a movie and they are over 40 years it would be cool? Yeah for sure it would be cool. Sometimes i think guys don't know what old is,
Jun 8, 2015 An artist, known for numerous drug references, returning to rap sober after a drug spiral, re-enters the spotlight with an album where his alter-ego delves the depths of addiction. Eminem "relapses" back into rap while commenting on his real-life recovery. That is a genius concept. Notice no-one mentioning it as the best executed album though.
Jun 8, 2015 Best beats: Recovery/h---: the sequel Best executed: Relapse Best concept: MMLP2 Best lyrically: Recovery
Jun 8, 2015 Recovery for every category including beats. I loved how he finally worked with a variety of new producers. Sounded fresh. Em goofs off way too much on Dre beats and it's been that way for almost 15 years now. Also might be the best concept album of his career. MMLP2 on the other hand, was the worst concept. It was basically like "Well its been three years, I wanna put out a new album, but I have no real direction or anything interesting to say, so let's just call it a sequel to my best album" Relapse was also a questionable concept. Why would you make an album about drug use when you're sober?
