Genius concept? Lol ok buddy. It really had nothing to do with that. Dr dre felt the fans wanted slim shady and that's where it came from.

That's because it's the worst album of his career lol. Encore looks like a classic compared to Relapse/Refill.

Relapse what easily the best executed of all three of these albums. I'd like someone to explain to me how he executed the concept of Recovery or MMLP 2 well?

Meh. I don't consider Eminem a particularly smart individual, but I guess I give him more credit than you.

Relapse was the last project where I was able to feel beats straight from Dr Dre. My Mom (especially that one, you can recognize Dre's vibe), Crack A Bottle (Not great lyrically maybe, but the song gave a great comeback vibe with a catchy hook no matter what everyone says) , Underground, Deja Vu, Insane all have have beats that fit to Eminem more or less. The other amazing and the last good Dre beat was in So Bad. Recovery was the best promotional project. The only one problem with it was that after his comeback with Recovery he disappeared for almost three years and came out with an opposite nostalgic style that didn't fit with his promises made in Recovery. Recovery could've been great if he released something that follows that album conceptually between HTS and MMLP2 because during 2012 all we got was horrible guest verses. When I first heard MMLP2 tracks, especially STIW and Headlights, I thought it's amazing and very personal, something that Recovery lacked because it sounded way too forced. However, the promotion was horrible (Why the official single Survival had to have a Call of Duty gameplay scenes? It should've been a bonus track), the cohesiveness wasn't as great, and the replay value greatly decreased within the matter of weeks. Lyrically they're all good.

And why? The first one play a serial killer in his music and the other one play a serial killer in a movie.
    The Difference:
You can just hear Eminem (Expect of Music Videos) when he said he is a serial killer and an actor you can see.
Now tell me what exactly is lame when Eminem act like an serial killer with 40 years?
Do you really think 40 years are old? Humans are going to be 80 years old and this guys said 40 years are old :empalm:

lmao so in ur opinion rappers/musicians are just actors?

    are u stupid?
he didnt execute any of the "concepts" for these albums "well." relapse had the best concept regardless, but execution has to do with the album as a whole not just the concept. for the final product, almost everything about relapse was basically horrible, aside from production.
    :mjcry:
can never tell if ur trolling
    they're not all "lyrically" good

recovery was filled with horrible punchline writing. mmlp2 "content" was very plain and straightforward. relapse was great technically and horrid in a lot of other regards.

theres more to being "lyrically good" than just rhyming well
BECAUSE ONE PERSON'S ACTUAL JOB IS TO ACT AS DIFFERENT PEOPLE.

    lmfao

    1) he didnt do it well (this is the most important point: idc if its a concept album about the toothfairy as long as its done well. eminem was embarrassing on relapse)
    2) he couldve rapped about anything else
    3) there was no substance or any creativity outside of rhyme schemes and generic horrorcore
40 is too old to be rapping about raping 12 year olds yeah

Im not saying rappers CANT make concept projects, or that certain artists dont technically "act" to fit their persona, etc, but he was acting like acting and rapping are the same, comparable, position.

and it comes down to how well somethings executed anyways: if al pacino did a serial killer movie at his age and if, for some unimaginable reason, it was like an awful nightmare on elm street remake and just a horrible project as a whole, then obviously he'd get s--- for it. just like eminem does with relapse.

if relapse was good he wouldnt get as much s---. but then again there is something inherently flawed about a grown man rapping about raping teen idols so pulling it off well was a far fetched idea from the start
