I was relistening to MMLP and found myself cringing at the horror lyrics a lot like I did with relapse. It was awkward. Especially on amityville. I don’t think I ever cringed at all on The Eminem Show. Not even during Drips, which I feel has a very underrated Obie Trice verse. The imagery, legendary. It was a very well produced album. Yeah, flawless.
I would have been probably around 14 or 15 when it came out. I remember knowing all of the words to cleaning out my closet and without me and drove my family crazy. My mom woke me up by tapping me on the head with the cd she bought me. I can’t remember if this is when I had Eminem posters and clippings all over my room but my stannery was so extreme people had started calling me slim at school. I was fat so...teachers were confused lol. How much of that album was produced by dr Dre? Because...that was the s---. So many awesome memories. Wait, so did Eminem s---t 8 mile while working on the Eminem show and the 8 mile soundtrack? Didn’t he have like, 3 singles out at once? Or am I jumbling 2002 and 2003? I swear it was like after TES dropped, it was nonstop Eminem s--- and then...Encore. I was like...why is he so puffy and why is 50 cent practically holding him up on 106 and Park? Why wasn’t he given a break after TES?

I think TES is the best example of how en Eminem album should sound like. He also produced most of that album, maybe that is one of the main reasons.

When I think about the "ideal" Eminem. I think 2001-2003. His overall sound during that period was perfect imo.

There is nothing cringeworthy about Amityville or anything else on MMLP besides D12 on Under the Influence. OP should stop listening to music.

    Slow down there, buckaroo.
    :fkcurry:
It doesn't even have five bad songs. Arguably songs like Superman and Drips could be considered to not be as good as the rest of the album.
    But that's it.

    I agree, Superman is a b-----r.

    Indeed.

Back when it wasn't about fitting 250 words in one line but also about the sound and the music.

First you said 5 songs were worth listening too and now you just listed 7.

Also, no Say Goodbye to Hollywood, Hailie's Song etc..?

    Stop trying so hard.

Em definitely peaked with this album. And to think he produced the majority of it himself is quite amazing. I think its got like 2 Dre beats on the entire album.

MMLP is my favourite album, it is perfect but so is TES, guess it is just about personal preference. SSLP is perfect as well imo.
Say Goodbye To Hollywood top 10 of his career though
