Sep 21, 2018 Business and Drips trash. Don't like Cleaning Out My Closet. When The Music Stops is definitely expendable. Eminem Show was literally about depicting his life as a controversial caricature. Just that being the bareback foundation alone should make it cringeworthy, but it works in some spots. Let me acknowledge that I would be nowhere if not for my sensationalizing of using a worldwide forum as a metaphorical psychoanalyst's piece of furniture and a ubiquitously-vested fanbase as the psychoanalyst's ear, to divulge some of his most candid frustrations about dealing with superstardom after dropping two undeniable hip-hop classics. TES is a very solid album. 8.5 out of 10, babes. But it is not perfect. Let's just keep that in mind. It had some flaws. SSLP, he's more "honestly himself" than we fail to realize, all in all. And I miss that. Most of his personality had to be compromised and calibrated by his major label figureheads because everything became about prioritization of commoditized circumstances, since he started and finished TES, between 2001 and 2002. If D12 never became a thing, and Bad Meets Evil became a Redman & Method Man type of regular duo, Hip-Hop would have changed for the better. Pensive theory, but exceptionally plausible, from a personal perspective. Series of unfortunate events that all stem from Em's poor decision-making skills. Seriously wish Karnail Pitts and Deshaun Holton never died. It hurt Hip-Hop in 100 different ways. Especially Em's situation, overall. Artistic development was tampered with. His creativity was stifled and almost completely and inadvertently sacrificed, on his part.
Sep 21, 2018 Things would have been different for sure. you probably know, but after SSLP, Eminem created Shady Records precisely to sign D12. He wasn't part of the group, he would have just been featured on a couple songs. and Bugz got killed 2 days after D12 got signed to Shady. https://web.archive.org/web/2007051.../bands/d/d12/news_feature_042304/index2.jhtml
Sep 21, 2018 I prefer high pitched/nasally Eminem to any version of Eminem there's been. I totally understand the TES appeal and why people love it, but I just find SSLP way more intriguing/interesting/fun/creative. Plus, I think SSLP is the one album he's made that he has ZERO chance of recreating. I don't think he'll ever have the ability/creativity to make conceptual/storytelling/fun songs like Guilty Conscience, Brain Damage, 97 Bonnie and Clyde, As The World Turns, My Fault etc. It's the ONE Eminem album that I can remember being bumped at parties and s--- (yes I'm older). Songs like I'm Shady, Role Model, My Name Is, Don't Give a f---, etc. Plus, it has some of my all time favorite Eminem quotables all over it. And I'm just now mentioning Rock Bottom at the end of my post. Plus, we talk about production, but I think Guilty Conscience and Role Model beats >>>>>
Sep 21, 2018 Role Model may be the best beat Eminem has ever rapped on (though I always thought Drug Ballad was an incredible beat too)
Sep 21, 2018 Drug Ballad would've been perfect on SSLP. I love that song. It's basically a better version of c-m on Everybody (I really like both songs). Like MMLP was one of the most captivating album releases I've ever seen... But SSLP is just so fun in comparison to the rest of his albums.
Sep 21, 2018 I think that was the start of the falling out over royalties with Bass Brothers & Eminem Eminem would just say what he wanted in certain songs with production. He wouldn't actually produce the song. For instance he didn't really produce Lose Yourself despite getting crredit for it just came up with the rhytm for it. He did not produce the drums, guitar etc or do any mixing.
Sep 21, 2018 It literally is the only one that would sound good at parties, still, to this day. I think they should release a 20th Anniversary Remastered Edition next year, actually. I was only 9 when it came out. But I was hooked. Didn't even have to sneak the C.D. because Ma Dukes was unconventional with it. She knew it contained explicit content. But she also knew that I wasn't impressionable enough to let that phase me. Good times.
Sep 21, 2018 How do you know what he did or did not do? Were you inside the studio with him? Btw, that song is not only credited to Eminem but also to Jeff Bass and Luis Resto.
Sep 21, 2018 Research rather the believing everything that comes out of Shady Records. Drums - DJ Head Guitar & Bass - Jeff Bass Luis Resto probably done some keyboard work & piano.
Sep 21, 2018 Every song that has ems name as producer during that era was basically produced by bass bros. You think em sat at the keyboard and the guitars and came up with melody’s and the scales you hear and s---? I think it was kinda cheeky for eminem to put his name as main producer on those songs. Probably a lil trick he learned from Dre. (It’s a big money maker)
Sep 21, 2018 Well to easily debunk that false theory there is footage of him in the studio on the keyboard and guitars coming up with melodies If he did what u are claiming the Bass Bro's would expose him for it and just say this is what he did. But in 19 years they have not to this day
Sep 21, 2018 But my question was, were you actually in the studio with them? What exactly makes this narrative the right one?
Sep 21, 2018 the question doesn't warrant a response https://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/189461/Eminem-I-don-t-know-how-to-use-a-computer
Sep 21, 2018 Eminem cannot use a computer back in 2010 so I willing to believe he didn't produce songs as he was credited. Not hard to follow.
Sep 21, 2018 So before computers became a thing, how exactly do you think music was produced? Beats just appeared from thin air? PS: i have to use this quote as a sig or something lmao. Can't believe someone can be this dumb.
Sep 21, 2018 I think Bass Brothers & Resto done pretty much all the work. Pretty obvious what I have been saying about Bass Vrothers doing most of the work & only getting co credits. Ironic your calling me dumb just read posts properly or maybe your lacking some brain cells.
