Jun 12, 2015 honestly depends on the type of people you want posting...you can get a lot of s-----y sensitive posters and lose people who don't like it or you can add dislikes and lose sensitive posters. I think you'll lose/gain either way tbh
Jun 12, 2015 I haven't said much in this thread, but I think it's safe to say we can draw a line in the sand and move on past this? Both @Koolo and @Slyk has said no and explained what the no is for. Bumping the thread at this point is meaningless because the neg/dislike option isn't coming back at least for the foreseeable future anyway.

Either way I'm not gonna b---- I just don't think dislikes would be as detrimental as some of you guys...just my 2 cents

Jun 12, 2015 dislikes are getting phased out everywhere...it gets more abused than likes...and people dont care if they dont likes..nor they care much they got likes...but people cry about getting dislikes...it doesnt matter that you guys feel they are p-----s...but that happens so many of our best members who used to be vets on SL..pmed me and bitched to me about getting negs...you would be surprised

My post about high school wasn't meant to continue the argument for dislikes, just me being surprised a dislike would would bother people so much...I mean I'm probably more sensitive than 90% of guys in real life but still can't see how that'd really bother someone that much. That's all.
Jun 12, 2015 lol wow. I am surprised. @Mano is exactly right though. I hate to sound old but kids these days are pampered and brought up to think everyone's a winner and are super sensitive. I get you're running a business so you're gonna do what's best for you and to make the community grow. I guess growing up on the hard online streets of RB as a young kid prepared me for this online world

Jun 12, 2015 I can't say much for SL since I was active for like a week, but from what I've read from posts SXN80 done better from Nov-June than what SL did. The screenshot @Koolo posted was just a few posters... imagine what SXN80 would be like? Not only that, but it's word of mouth. You have someone say "Don't sign up to SXN80 they just included dislikes and instead of replying with why a poster doesn't like your comment they just dislike it". It comes across as negative and people will be on egg shells with what they say in a thread in case it results in a boat load of dislikes. IMO activity could slow down. You think the post count is low now because of summer and end of school? Imagine what it'll be like with a dislike system.
Jun 12, 2015 Yeah I realize that...i started posting when I was like 12 when there really were no rules and got ripped apart online. Helped me become the online man I am today. Look at Dirty F he wasn't a p---- and was in his teens on RB/SL. I get what you're saying though. Just trying to help toughen these kids up and yell at them when they step on my lawn
