Jun 11, 2015 Based on what I can gather from the descriptions of SL and compared to what we have now I don't think this place will ever turn into that. Or at least I don't see that many crazy/aggressive posters here. Btw what was the rep system?
Jun 11, 2015 Reps were "likes" with power. The more years you were there and the more posts you had the more rep power you had. If someone with a 10 power rep, repped you, your rep would go up by 10. If they neg repped you it would go down by half that I think so -5 and you can leave a message for them to see when they check their reps that only the user and admins can see
Jun 11, 2015 reps/dislikes takes away from the growth, the overall morale, and ultimately adds a shitload of headache to all staff involved. the likes/plus system is perfect right now.

Jun 11, 2015 We aren't heading into combat, "morale" is overrated...the whole point of a message board like this is to discuss music and read what people have to say and sometimes express support and sometimes express dissent. I genuinely don't see the point of having likes but no dislikes, seems like we're trying waaaay too hard to be politically correct. I've been a mod and I didn't see reps or dislikes as a "headache" in the slightest. Like, what do you mean? How would having dislikes affect your day as a moderator? lol
Jun 12, 2015 Agree with @Slyk, dislikes/"negs"/whatever just become tools to harass and bully posters. Perhaps rightfully so in some cases, but it just adds a juvenile component which takes away from discussion.
Jun 12, 2015 People will go on a disliking spree/or dislike back just like with the negative rep system, "oh you negged me, h--- no, boom negged b----". Especially if the dislikes will take away your points or likes, would cause an enormous amount of rage in our community, I wouldn't mind dislikes also, but I also like the positive vibe, I was always a nice member back in SL days, but I felt I had to get out that stage and you guys helped me with the bulliness and it encouraged me to be a sadistic prick if I wanted to survive, now that we have a positive growing environment I can't seem to go back to my nice guy personal. Look what you monsters did to me, so let's stick with the positivity, before another (nice) member becomes a prick (@FlawlessT)
