It is a reality. Trump is tapping into violent, white nationalist veins of the populace on top of his base of bitter, post-fact populists. Just because you haven't had a gun brandished at you and been told to "go back where you came from" doesn't mean it's not happening.

I have Conservative friends who say "Obama is the most racist President ever"

Then I'll ask why "why do you say that?"

Then they'll say "because of the 'beer summit' and when he said 'if I had a son, he'd look like Tryvon.'"

Then I ask... "what about the Presidents who owned black people and r---d them and waged a war on Native Americans?"

Then they say... "wull, that was legal back then."

Then I say "is it illegal to drink beer and say a kid, could look like your son now?"


Then they say, "the REAL unemployment rate is like 180%!"

I stated multiple times I think he isn't to blame. My response was towards media, which I explicitly stated again and again and again...

Like, you're comparing a peaceful protest group that weeds out violent agitators and speaks out unequivocally against violence against cops to...a candidate who is openly stoking racist fears? Their goals are different. Their methods are different. Their reactions to violence are different.

No, as I pointed out in my post, those are not the same correlation. BLM responds to killings by having summits with police chiefs. Trump responds to terrorist attacks by accepting congratulations on Twitter.
