d--- Tuscan Leather is an experience from beginning to end. The outro is deep. Solid 10/10 and top tier Drake. Onto Furthest Thing.. -

Furthest Thing to Started From The Bottom, Wu-Tang Forever to Own It, 305 to Too Much, etc.
Meanwhile Views is such a smooth and engaging experience, but lacks any noteworthy moment
It's also why Take Care is my favorite Drake project, it includes the positive qualities of both sides of the spectrum and mold it into a musical simp masterpieceLast edited: Jun 9, 2016Cerrone, shahidah, Ordinary Joel and 2 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

The Motion is kinda catchy but it's boring to me. Giving it a 7. The outro is nice though.
So..that's the album. Chad enjoyed it. It's more of a compilation album. He even acknowledges this by saying his latest s--- is like a greatest hits. It has hold on were going home which is a classic. Tuscan Leather is probably his best intro and one of his best tracks ever. From Time is beyond real. The Language has some good quotables in it. Too Much is emotional with that superb hook.Paris Morton Music is good but Jay didn't deliver, thankfully Drake extended it and gave us some heat. It gives the listener a bit of everything, this album. It's not my favorite Drake project because of started from the bottom, Wu Tang forever, the motion, and it doesn't cater to my tastes as its more of a one size fits all album.
Final verdict: 8/10

NWTS is his best piece of work IMO. It's too bad tracks like Jodeci, Girls Love Beyonce, and The Motion didn't make the final cut, but it's still a great album?
Hip Hop classic? Probably not. Problem with that for Drake is he never commits to rapping 100% on a project so you can't really put them in that conversation. It doesn't bother me, because he's at his best when he's walking the fine line between rap/rnb anyway.Immy, Ordinary Joel, Chad Warden and 2 others like this. -

My all time favorite Drake song
These feels
Thinking 'bout Texas, back when Porscha used to work at Treasures
Or further back than that, before I had the Houston leverage
When I got Summer a Michael Kors with my momma's debit
A weak attempt at flexing, I'll never forget it
Cause that night I played her three songs
Then we got to talking 'bout something we disagreed on
Then she start telling me how I'll never be as big as Trey Songz
Boy was she wrong, that was just negative energy for me to feed off
Now it's therapeutic blowing money in the Galleria
Or Beverly Center Macy's where I discovered Bria
Landmarks of the muses that inspired the music
When I could tell it was sincere without tryna prove it
The one that I needed was Courtney from Hooters on Peachtree
I've always been feeling like she was the piece to complete me
Now she engaged to be married, what's the rush on commitment?
Know we were going through some s---, name a couple that isn't
Remember our talk in the parking lot at the Ritz
Girl I felt like we had it all planned out, I guess I f----- up the vision
Learning the true consequences of my selfish decisions
When you find out how I'm living, I just hope I'm forgiven
It seem like you don't want this love anymore
I'm acting out in the open, it's hard for you to ignore
But girl, what qualities was I looking for before?
Who you settling for? Who better for you than the boy, huh?

Yeah Chad doesn't see why this is being labeled as cohesive. Sonically it all has a similar vibe but it's not like a story links the whole album together. It doesn't have to do that to be a good album though. If someone asked Chad Warden why he likes Drake, he'd probably say check out NWTS because it's a showcase of his abilites. Like Poohdini said that kinda holds him back from creating that hip hop classic. Take Care is a classic to me for example but it's hard to say where it's s classic is it a pop rap classic, a contemporary r&b classic, it's not in one single lane. NWTS has the same problem. It does feature a nice bit of rapping though.shahidah, Ordinary Joel, Poohdini and 1 other person like this. -

I love how the album already hits you with like 5 different beats in the first 2 tracks

Chad is sitting down with a few Js and seshin live in the caddy. He's gonna listen to listen to NWTS, chill, and review each track one by one. Nothing in depth, just reactions. Chad will give a final rating of NWTS after he's done.Skippy, mwarmst, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

definitely his most cohesive and consistent album. production is so crisp on this one. This album has nothing but grown on me over the past few years so we will see where Views stands in two years or soOrdinary Joel, Chad Warden and Poohdini like this. -
