This is no longer 2003 where MTV, music magazines and radio stations controlled what we listen to and how much we listen to....Taylor Swift is the biggest artist in America right now and she just released an album that came and went with as little fanfare as Revival had....yeah, she did much bigger sales numbers, but the media doesn't obsess over music like they did 10 or 15 years ago. Trump dominates everything in the news cycle today.

Def came and went. Feels like his most lifeless album and era.

The album's barely been out two weeks and I don't feel like listening to it. That's crazy for a new Eminem album for me.

Doubt this s--- will even go plat in a year, unless any of those singles blow up. I'm sure they'll release about 10 more pop cuts and hope one sticks. They made sure they clogged up the album with plenty enough of them.

Eminem is old news, stop living in the past there's alot of other artists making better music. that's what it seems like most of these posters only listen to.

    Nah. He’s right dude.

This album is better than MMLP2 and ShadyXV. Not bettter than Relapse or Recovery though.

Recovery for content / subject matter.
    Relapse for production and flow.

You guys are flip floppers. No wonder why Marshall is confused. I would be confused if I was him too. So many of you trashed Recovery. And now that Revival is out, you go back and listen to Recovery and say that you didn't realize how good it was until you listened to Revival. Some of you said Revival was solid and then called it garbage 24 hours later. So it's no wonder why Eminem is confused and doesn't know what you want anymore.

I swear when he makes his next album Redemption, it will probably be solid. But then you're gonna go back and listen to Revival and claim that it's actually a good album and Redemption is his worst album ever. You will also go back to Relapse and say it got even better. You guys don't even know what you want because you flip flop as fast as the wind blows. And because of that, I don't find some of you trustworthy.

And Redemption will also be a good album. Mark my words.

not really...even without promo and no new singles if you check kworb Revival still on Top-3 albums in European and Worldwide iTunes charts. Sometimes even No.1. It's still No.1 in Apple Music charts Worldwide too. But sooner or later it'll disappear if they keep doing the project like this lol, like when the h--- are gonna drop River and Believe as singles? smh

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember as a kid when Limp Bizkit came out with an album, some songs didn't become singles until several months later, like 8 months after the album was out. I remember I had that album and then later on N2gether now with Method Man became a single.

back then it wasn't a problem but now in the internet and streaming world it doesn't make sense for any artist to wait months to drop a 2nd or 3rd single once the album drops. Epsecially when you have a chart-topper like River lol, it made it on No.11 on Hot 100 without any promo. A lot of people have listened to the song now so if Shady waits for like 5-6 months to drop a single then they'll screw it lol

Well for whatever reason, they've been shy to push the album for more sales.

That's BS. Most lifeless album? Come on... I'm really enjoying listening to it. I feel like you just are a sheep now, getting influenced by the crowd. Nobody flip flops as fas as you do. In 2 weeks you might change your mind and decide it's not so bad. Maybe you're just tired of Eminem. Think about that EmBase. Maybe you're just done with him no matter what he does.

And you know how I know that the cohesive thing is an excuse? Because you made a tracklist yourself and called it a potential classic. Are you going to flip flop on that statement to? You can put those songs you listed into your own album and just listen to that. But I know you won't do that. Why? Because I believe that was just an excuse to begin with.

Most lifeless album? That would be Encore. Believe is not lifeless. And the last 3 songs on the album are great. He poured his heart out. And Untouchable was great, he rapped about things that needed to be said. Like Home, another great stance against the bad leader of our country. I also loved the beats. I don't see how you could say lifeless.

    What a crock of s---.

We can agree to disagree but don't accuse me of following others or being influenced, because that does not and has not happened. I don't give a f--- what other people think. As evidenced by my obsessive love for Relapse when it dropped... and amidst everybody calling it trash and the worst thing they ever heard. Just accept I don't like the f---ing album, don't resort to lies.

Yes, I said that DAY ONE fam. And yes, with an altered tracklist, i.e. cutting out about 50% of the album and re-arranging a few things, I feel it could be a potential classic or at least a very solid album. But that's not we got, or what the album is... is it? So how is that an excuse? That actually goes towards my point of cohesiveness, because my arrangement - I feel, is cohesive to my ears. The only way this album could be that is with the use of that interlude to transition from one segment to the next. But having s--- like Framed in between Tragic Endings and Nowhere Fast is just absolutely bizarre. No good album can function this way to my ears.

I didn't even come on the forums or read anything before flipping. I just sat with the album a day or two and was like 'f---, this is s---'. Of course new s--- has a new shine, and it either sticks (good albums) or falls apart (bad albums). I even enjoyed the f--- out of Encore as a kid, first listening to it. Does that make it a good album? No.

Yes, Believe is great; Yes the last 3 tracks are great... That's four tracks? I like even more than that. But a handful of good tracks does not make a good album. Encore has good tracks, it's still a s--- album!

It's fine you like the album. Accept that I don't. And don't resort to lies, about me. Use your brain.
