That's not what I'm saying. I'm responding to you calling nas a megastar, which dope as he is, is entirely untrue. And nelly was huge in early 2000, and that small comeback. But most white people know him as the guy with the band aid on his face who did it's getting hot in here and that's it.

A supposedly anti pop rapper featuring pop star is a scream for sales. Dude acts mentally handicapped in every interview/appearance

Its not an act, he is socially akward and always has been. Look at his TRL interviews, he acts the same way and he didnt do as much drugs in his early years as people think.

People also underestimate how f----- up you get from what he has been through, the amount of drugs he used, the overdose itself and beinf clean now all the time. I've been through some of it(didnt OD) and i recognize some of his behaviour.

There is a large part of his life that he can barely remember because of the drugs and that really f---s with you, makes you feel like you cant trust yourself and it takes years and years to get that back. He seems a lot better though lately, more "aware" if you will.

If that is what sales are first week then so be it. This album is great and it WILL sell well in the long run. They still have some good singles in their pocket if done right. I think it will be looked at more fondly with a bit more time passing anyway then these critics who listened once and moved on.

The crap sales have more to do with that rollout. Crazy when we first saw the Revival ad we though it was going to be GOAT rollout. Then it was just a colossal mistake after another.

But, he did. He even came up with slim shadys look while rolling on extacy with Dr Dre. His first 3 albums were a result of drugs. Encore was just new kinds of drugs. Just because you swap drugs of choice doesn't make you more or less of an addict. Just less functioning. Especially with opiates. I remember seeing him on the anger managment tour 3. He was so f----- up and looked like s---. Had to lipsync entire performance. Such a waste of everyone's time.

I think there's a few ways to look at this prediction from HDD (which is rarely wrong, since they project based on trends). The rollout for Revival was awful, as we all know. There was no theme, no direction. If it's true that Paul wants Em to be his first Def Jam release, then maybe the lack of promotion, album cohesion makes sense? I personally think dissing Trump could have helped his sales, but because it was in an acapella cyoher, & not a dope a--- song, it didn't give a lot of people a reason to be truly about an Eminem drop. I have no reservations about his rapping ability, regardless of flows. But - If the music doesn't sound good, I'm not going back to it, & I don't care who the artist is. He has to get back to making music that is an easier listen, without it being "pop". He should do his hooks, easily flow with the production & speaking of which - he should produce the majority of his music. When you try to please a bunch of audiences, its harder to release a good project. Drake did that with More Life & even though I only listen to a few tracks up there, it's not because of the rest of it isn't easy to listen to. I just rather hear Drake rap more than sing, but it's still good to listen to. Some of these Em tracks are just HARD to get through.
