Oct 31, 2020 Soooo...consider this an extension of my Give Fire Squad an Album to Review thread: - Right off the bat we got @cpt awesome WPG joint acc with a skit that on my first listen caught me off guard and made me do a spit take. It truly encapsulates the carnage and silliness that I love about this forum, the eerie thunderstorm in the background a sign of things to come - OMG NARSHHHHHH!!!!! My boy killed it and then we had @Grimace aka Andys Father come in and lay the chalk line on the track, wonderful bar fest and distorted vocals. The icing on this cake of dystopia was an important @pHiLLip fARkLe cameo tacked in there, again you can't find this anywhere else, only on SXN80 - PlayWryte came in and ripped the next track, love the spooky aesthetic from both these tracks, the mixing sounds so clean so shoutout to whoever made this! - It's low-key refreshing hearing old-fashioned skits on a rap project again in 2020, never thought I'd admit that. Props @MichaelsMad, the bar (or well bars *ba dum tsss*) were set already high and the excellent consistency continues to remain. Can't really decide who's had the best up to this point. - These Cpt skits are something else haha, rolled the red carpet for Grim to come in and kick some sinister s--- on the next track. - @FiveOh1 d--- this track is crazy, the production & mixing has been so amazing up to this point but this one is on another hemisphere of murkiness and evil. After that verse and this beat I'm gonna have to pray an entire rosary to cleanse my soul sheesh. - @Ricky this you bro!? Props for the multi-language performance, I know you're a flow demon so consider me impressed for even attempting it on ESL. The world wasn't ready for a FULL verse of Farkle, our Lord had mercy on us. - Sacre Bleu! This is very nice @Zeugma , I can see your love for off-kilter/industrial music shine on this, that distorted synth in the back gave me Nine Inch Nails vibes. Once again, this whole project has been so cohesive and uniform! - Whew these are some bars of fury, idk who this guy is but the energy was off the charts. I know this is a predominantly Eminem forum and the influence is everywhere, but this was quite a nice homage to 8 Mile's hero. - Yo this a b-----r, the force is strong with these two. Fantastic flows, that transition from Grim to Play was so filthy, this was lowkey a lightsaber spar in rap form. - @Boos godammn this is some evil a--- production bro! Everything from that eerie snare in the back and the eerie sample looming over this is so well crafted. - Dang the closer, this was like the exorcism that let loose all the demons accumulated from this entire project. Great bars, great production, feels like I'm beating a dead horse at this point. - Finally we got Cpt. Awesome with the epilogue, with a tragic end to all of our heroes on this project. May Grim rip and please look for Narsh guys. Overall I'm beyond proud of everyone involved, this is unprecedented and is another reason why we're the best forum on the internet. Hits all the hallmarks of a great mixtape with a consistent sound, spectacular performances from each contributor and a wackiness that you won't find anywhere else besides our demented personalities that we harbor here.
