Great, hope the days off help! And thanks :D

Hiking is a good work out, especially hiking up a mountain or something. I see people running the hiking trails, too crazy for me

I haven't tried that - but now I will! That sounds like it'd be pretty awesome. :emoji_thumbsup:
Nice shoe collection! Those orange ones are beat to death. Do you keep track of mileage per pair of shoes at all, or just buy new ones when you feel it's necessary? Good luck with your MRI, and losing the weight. I'm actually around the same weight.. I was recently up to 156, trying to get back to the 145-150 range. Now I'm thinking I really need to build up my stamina and strength if I'm the same weight as you and my mile pace is way worse. :emoji_flushed:

Since I haven't posted anything yet I'll post my Nike+ homepage, since my individual runs don't show much like yours, @Nori

So I decided to take the day off today, didn't even go to the gym. I'm just gonna rest my legs. Anyways, I've been thinking about dropping some weight. I was 150lbs in the fall when I was at my fastest and that wasn't too hard to maintain, I'm at 158 right now, I'll probably drop back down too 150 to see if it makes a difference on my knee. I'll find out whats wrong after the MRI in 3 weeks regardless.

Here's a post of my shoes since I had nothing to post today, I'm currently switching between the blue Lunarglide 6s and black Lunarglide 5s. The orange ones are Lunarknits but I beat them to death this winter running in the salty slush so I don't really use them anymore.

Thought I would pop in and say hello. I did not know this thread exists but I am a very active runner. Training for my 3rd marathon on July 12th and looking to get below 3:30. My best marathon time is 3:39 right now. I live in Montana so I do a lo of trail running and it is absolutely wonderful. I average about 60-70 miles a week, so If any newbies in here have any questions let me know!

That's good stuff to know! Nike Plus is good but I basically only can see my average mile pace and total time and distance. My Nike running watch broke a few years ago so I bought a better Garmin GPS watch (didn't want the Nike Fuel band) and I just manually add my runs to Nike, since I had a few hundred miles already there.

    Btw nice thread tags :emoji_wink:
Yeah, the Nike outlet is great. One day when I can afford to have a collection I'd love to, but right now I just have a pair for running and a pair for every other use.

Congratulations on your 3rd Half @captain awesome

And yeah @JFK I'm in NY and the heat plus humidity is horrible for running, but I enjoy sweating so I don't mind it that much.

@Loyalty I just went with Map My Run since it was free, but I mainly used it for speed and splits and it does what I need it to do. I know it also tells you elevation and a few other things too. I know what you mean about losing you stats =\ they're all the same in the end though. How do you like Nike Plus?

I used to really dislike running and would always opt for the elliptical at the gym. After my family got a herding dog and I started taking him out for runs I began to love the therapy of it, especially outdoor running. Major cons are the injuries though. I want to build my distance up by 2 more kms on what I already do and then start working on cutting my times.

Do you guys opt for a certain brand of running shoes?

Thank you :) The weather will be nice, about 75 F, and it will be at night time on the Vegas strip so it should be awesome. And yep my wife is running it as well!

Sounds like you're doing well, keep it up! I know it's hard to adjust to running on a treadmill, every summer here I have to get used to it again and it can s--- sometimes. Good luck!

I haven't posted in awhile. I did a 7 day run this past July around Mont Blanc. It was the UTMB circuit. Total was about 110 miles with 30 feet total elevation up and down. It was the experience of a lifetime. If anyone is interested in doing or wants to see pictures of the beautiful Alps holla at a brother

    Hey, welcome back.

Mine's going pretty well. Just ran my last run before my race on Sunday. Just a 3 mile run but it went well. How has your running been?

Ive developed an on-off relationship with long distance running lately. Ive noticed if i run regularly, say 2 - 3 times per week, for longer than a couple months my left kneee starts flaring up. Its super annoying but when I feel the pain coming on I just quit running

Welcome! If you're already running that much, you definitely should do the half-marathon. It's very rewarding, and it's not too hard to train yourself up from 6 miles to 13. I like the training plans here: http://www.halhigdon.com/training/51130/Half-Marathon-Training-Guide
Everything's gonna go great, I know it! :wiggins:
