    Good luck @Loyalty

I haven't really been running as much lately but I've definitely been in the gym, my insurance stopped covering physical therapy but I'm getting an MRI on the 27th. I ran on it on Sunday and I can still tell something's wrong, I'll know soon enough :ohno:

Ive been training, getting ready for the college pre-season. Ive only been running the one-mile and two-mile.
Target time for the one-mile: Under 6 min
Target time for the two-mile: Under 12 min

Been training for about a month. When i first started, my one-mile time was around 8:15. Two days ago i ran a 6:15. I got 4 weeks until pre-season. Im hopeful that I'll get there. I still have to work on my two-mile time. Im not a good long distance runner.

Also I got to start doing 300 yard sprints in under 60 seconds. Haven't tried that yet, but I think i can do it.

What school? Also see if you can do middle distance when track season rolls around in spring, i.e 800m sprint and the 1600m. I s--- at long distance. During the XC at my school I run a 19:24 5K but when it gets to actual track season, I run the 800m and I pull a 2:14.

Alright boys I ran a new PR in the full marathon 2 weeks ago. I ran it in 3:06. My next marathon is september 20th and I am going to try and get it under 3:05, preferably around 3:00 but we will see. Now that I have the new songs Beast and Raw to bump I think ill be able to do it!

Got 2 miles in last night, and ran a few games after my lift. Trying to cut down 15 lbs before the end of August to a solid 190.

Thought I'd celebrate my 1000th post here, hello fellow runners.

    :daps:

Just signed up for my 2nd half marathon, the Rock'n'Roll Arizona one in January. I ran a few times this week, time to start up on my training plan.

d--- congrats, glad you decided to do the 1000th here. Still no MRI results for me, I'm calling again on Monday. I'm gonna start jumping rope again tomorrow though and who knows, maybe I'll run a half soon as well. I had my eye on this local half in October before I got hurt. I'll keep you guys posted.

I just went on my first run in I don't know how long after hitting the gym. Feels pretty good and I think I'll start doing it more.

Only problem I am having now is where I tore my MCL 2 years ago is feeling a lil weird. Slowly going away though.

It's not like I never run but I haven't done a long distance run in a while. I play basketball all the time but I'm not running constantly. I feel like I should have been going to conditioning for Football season this whole summer lol oh well

I was thinking about pushing 7 but i exceeded my own expecations by 3 miles so i was happy lol. Ive never been one to want to run but recently ive been thinking about my health and i wanna stay fit and not start to get a gut. Its also very calming to run at night and look up at the sky as the sun sets and also being able to look up at the stars too.

Yeah I didn't expect to run 6 miles for another month at least but since I was feeling good I figured I should just keep going. I'm averaging around 9 minute miles when running 2 miles which I was pleased with but I'm trying to get it down to about 8:30. As you can see I slowed down a little doing the 6 miles but I wanted to pace myself since I was going for 3 miles and I was weary about even attempting that.

Alright, time to get to my half-marathon training.. still got lots of time but I want to start training early this time, and beat my time from my first one.

Ran a 5k at the gym today, feeling good. Listened to The Hunger For More and watched American Ninja Warrior on tv. That's quite a motivational combo. Very happy with my times, but I'm still shooting for like an 8 minute 5k pace one day.

@Nori I hope your knee's doing better. How'd the MRI go? Hope you can run soon :ohno:

@The Product That's awesome that you can just run 6 miles out of the gate. You planning on doing any half-marathons or other races? Hal Higdon's training plans are pretty good, I follow them loosely

Yeah I do plan on getting in on some 5ks and other stuff in the future. I just recently started my running over the last month so Although I did 6 miles I don't feel I'm quite where I want to be. Like I said in an above post I want to get my speed up to around 8:30 a mile if not better than that. So I still have some progress to make before I'm ready for that but the short answer is yes lol

Ran for speed today. Disappointed in my last mile and a half but I hit a few hills that really slowed me down
