    President of the EU said Uraine is welcome to join us. They have become 'one of us' the last week.

    I believe this really is going to escalate now besides Ukraine...except when putin backs down or someone makes him in his camp

    I hope the negotiations will work today ofc

    Won't work unless Zelenskyy surrenders and gives up his president status. Which won't happen of course, but still better to happen. Kiev is blocked. Civilians with weapons on their hands are paranoid and s---t each other. By the time russian troops enter the city, it'll become a desert.

    This twitter thread is the best writing I’ve read on the Ukraine-Russia conflict so far. It’s long but touches on everything from history, military strategy, court politics & drama, to the importance of myth-making & narratives. A must-read imo.

    Two things are for sure... No army can conquer that big country and be sustainable about it, not while the whole world is against you.
    Second, you can't keep arming yourself and keep fighting against an army big as Russian one, and be sustainable about it, because you may defend yourself, but you will be devastated beyond recovery.

    This war is no sustainable for neither side...Only difference is, Ukraine is betting their existence and Russians already gave up their prosperity for it.

    And one thing... After this, NATO will be be boosting up their forces more than ever, which means billions of investments in hew hardware for all its countries.
    Which means, the finest and the most pricey Made in USA hardware will be selling to those countries like crazy... Surely it will made a huge piece of cake for US economy.

    There is a saying "There's no that big a war without the secret handshake between the strongest players"... Meaning, in the big picture, who knows, Ukraine may just be sacrificial lamb here for the purpose of the Cold War 2.0 order.

    Even if Ukraine manages to pull off a country-saving W, I can't see a country as large and serious as Russia losing quietly...and that part almost scares me more.

    I agree, the fear is justified.
    It's really surreal... This is the biggest opened war front since WW2... Like something straight up from Cold War movies, like Red Dawn. Crazy.

    And the worst thing, this is not event the part of possible clashes potential... Much of force Russia is holding back on borders, and the serious weapons systems are yet to be delivered to Ukraine.

    in the UK we clapped for the NHS during COVID-19. Well as of today at half seven the UK will now clap for @JMG the one man army taking down Russia on tank at a time
