No bro, it all comes down to the fact that Russia has imperialistic ambition and has a hurt ego (Putin/even large part of the population) and they are delusional that they can pose as a global power in 2022. All their leverage comes from having nuclear weapons and a lot of mineral resources. They are basically a shell of the former self. Nothing more nothing less. China is obviously a global power so they don't need NATO membership and they have their own sphere of influence in Asia. As for India it is a growing power.
