It's too early brah. No one should be allowed to post until January when Inherent Vice opens nationwide. Besides, Mommy is not out in NY until January 23!

I got the impression from your post(s) over at SL that you were disappointed in Inherent Vice. Was I wrong?

that Penguins of Madagascar type RT score got me shook as f--- tbh

RT or IMDB should never be taken seriously... and Punch-Drunk Love only has a 79%.

Besides, the score is only based on 36 reviews right now. Most likely going to go up.

I agree that IMDB scores are a joke, but I usually agree with RT!

I've yet to see someone who was familiar with Pynchon's work prior to seeing the film give it a bad review; most of the complaints are in regards to a "jumbled and incoherent plot" but if you read the book you would know what to expect. This is PTA in his prime adapting the work of one of the most brilliant American writers of all time and we're gonna let some uninformed critics bring down our expectations? Sorry, I'm not with that.

I was disappointed ever so slightly, but that might be because I have astronomical expectations for PTA films, given his previous five rank so highly for me. With that said, while I won't post my top 10 just yet, it is still currently on it and I'm confident it will appear highly on other critic polls soon to come out.

    Here are your options Twan

    1) Read the book and watch again
    2) or watch again

    :khaled2: it's probably a classic

What We Do In The Shadows might be favorite comedy. Under The Skin still ranks first overall.

    3. Grand Budapest Hotel
    4. The Babadook
    5. Boyhood
