May 26, 2016 I can't stand the pathological liar that Hillary is. But I also can't stand trumps antics. It has me seriously considering doing a write in vote. But for the sake ofthis thread I'd have to pick trump over Hillary any day cause f--- that b----
May 26, 2016 No offense, because you seem like an informed person, but you have thrown out a lot of disagreeable points in this thread in an attempt to bring down Trump by cherry picking points against him while completely ignoring the flaws of the other side. You've made it seem like a Trump election would be a doomsday in comparison to the other two, when all three candidates could have potential for a massive disaster or a ton of success. But really, are we still trying to play identity politics? Especially without context? In the housing "systematic discrimination" issue which you brought up previously, Trump adamantly made the case that he based housing locations on welfare and not race, and the only reason it went so far in court was because private investigators found African Americans were being "steered" to housing in a more densely black populated area, also owned by Trump. What could have been a severe blow to his business in trial ended up as a settlement, simply forcing him to emphasize in his advertising that housing would be free of discrimination or segragation to remove all doubt. Perhaps if Trump had flat out lost the case I'd be more inclined to believe he systematically banned black people from living in his housing, but there's not enough evidence to support that. And the "all Mexicans" thing is such a tired narrative, when will people stop parroting it? If people took context into consideration at all they'd acknowledge when saying the "rapists, d--- dealers, and some are good people" line he was referring to Illegal immigrants -- and most importantly, what people are forgetting is that Trump was (albeit wrongly) accusing the Mexican Government of sending people over illegally and ignoring due process. In fact, in the media weeks following those statements, Trump was pressured to defend that accusation more than the comments themselves. You can argue Trump made an outlandish accusation by accusing a government of pushing people in illegally, but egregiously misrepresenting his statement to brand him as racist who thinks "all mexicans are bad" is equally outlandish. It's a non-point, at this point. As for your Trump-Bush comparison, come on. The only thing they really have in common is pro-torture methods. Let's not pretend Trump wasn't a vocal critic of the war in Iraq, or careless overseas regime change, or NAFTA, especially in a time where he didn't have to be. That generalization is like expecting Sanders or Clinton to follow in Obama's footsteps of the NDAA, or an abysmal GDP growth if they're to take office. Not very fair. I do agree Trump tends to throw out statements far to lackadaisically, and hyperbole's far too often, but this is a man who hardly ever speaks from the script. In the Japan thing, 60 billion a year in exports certainly isnt "nothing", but it's still a third of what they export to us, if that. It's definitely not the worst deal he's pointed out, and you know that. His overall stance on foreign trade, I find, is far more preferable to Clinton's who in turn has flip flopped with her stances on NAFTA and TPP and is basically claiming that she'll leave the economy in Bill's hands if she wins. There's a myriad of grievances I have with Trump, I'm having mixed feelings about his tax plan for example, but SOMEONE'S becoming president. It's him or Hillary at this point. It's between him, a supposed racist misogynistic "Putin sympathizer" who's employed tens of thousands on his own, who's female and POC employees speak glowingly of him on most accounts, against Clinton; someone who is under FBI investigation, who lied to the families of Benghazi victims (the family members themselves have said it, not just Fox News) about the motives of the attacks, someone who's fraternized with the likes of Barry Goldwater (opposed the civil rights act) and Sen Robert Byrd (ex Klans-man) and someone who hides behind feminism while taking money from Saudi Arabia and pays every woman 30 cents less than the men in her own organization, and stole from the white house lol.. Someone who chuckled about the r--ist of a 12 year old girl, whom she defended on trial, passing a polygraph test despite being guilty. Someone who looks up to Angela Merkel of all people who is almost definitively militant fascist regressive left. But Trump's the racist. Trump's the sexist. Trump's the fascist. Trump's the one with bad judgment. OK, well I'm not here to try to change anyone's opinion, just stating the way I see it, but let's look at it from both sides.
May 26, 2016 Can someone explain to me why they hate Hillary, other than just saying "she's a horrible liar and I can't stand her"
May 26, 2016 What difference does it make if he was referring to illegal immigrants? The statement is factual and statistically incorrect. To generalize illegals as "rapists abd murderers" while assuming just "some are good people" is undoubtedly racist because it has no baring on the truth. It's your typical fear mongering statement made to cause a reaction.
May 26, 2016 the best/most relevant reason right now is WHY she used the private email server she used it to avoid FOIA (freedom of information act) requests, the purpose of which is to make all govt work transparent and accessible to the people upon request. she used a private server so her emails were not part of the official govt record, and therefore not subject to any oversight. this is part of what the FBI is trying to prove right now, that she intentionally sought to avoid oversight that everyone else is beholden to so why was she so desperate to avoid FOIA requests? because her work in the state department had lots of overlap with her familys "charity," the clinton foundation.... for example, the foundation recieved HUGE sums of money from foreign dictatorships, like the saudis, WHILE hillary was f---ing negotiating WEAPONS DEALS with them as sec of state. aka, bribery! there are so many other reasons, but this is the most relevant one to 2016
May 26, 2016 There's a lot of words here and I didn't read them all, but I noticed your thing referring to Trump only talking about illegal immigrants. I agree and can't really understand why people don't see that? Like isn't he on record saying that he supports legal immigrants multiple times? Didn't he say almost word for word, "The wall will have a door in it"?
May 26, 2016 The Clinton Foundation has a charity rating of "A" because it's a real charity that's transparent. The Donald J. Trump Foundation has no rating because it is private and isn't transparent. Hillary as Secretary of State did use a private email... same as Secatary Rice and Secretary Rice. Secretary Clinton has turned over 10,000's of emails to FBI. I don't believe Rice or Powell were made to turn over any emails... even though things like 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq on bad intelligence happened on their watch... And it's true that the attack on Benghazi Embassy that resulted in the death of 4 Americans happened when Clinton was Secratary of State (we have entered the 3rd year of the select committee's investigation into that attack, for comparison the 9/11 commision lasted 20 months)... 13 US Embassies were attacked during Powell's and Rice's tenures as SoS... resulting in 60 American deaths and 0 Select Commitee investigations. Everything the Clintons do is politicized and Republican Politicians waste millions of dollars and legislative time in hopes to ignite scandal. Hillary seems deceptive because she is constantly attacked and her every move is skewered by a party that has no vision of the future and proves to be incapable of leading America every time it comes into power.
May 26, 2016 Exactly, he 100% has. He makes it a point at almost every rally that he wants people in legally. I have no idea where people are getting the idea that he's anti-immigration. What's not factual about pointing out d--- dealers and rapists coming into the country illegally when they are? Clearly Trump himself said not all illegal immigrants are this way, so how is he overly generalizing? It happens enough for it to be a problem. Fairus.org has kept track of some awful stories up until the last month involving illegals. Not to mention ISIS themselves have made it known (or perhaps it's been revealed) that they're targeting the border to smuggle in terrorists and I think even warheads. Strong immigration policy =/= racism.
May 26, 2016 Trump made a pretty strong statement when he used illegal immigrants to build Trump Tower.
May 26, 2016 This election cycle feels like that moment in The Hateful Eight where the black guy and the racist team up to hang the woman.
May 26, 2016 @reservoirGod Just out of curiosity, do you see any faults in Clinton? If so what are they? I would also like to ask the same from @Enigma.
May 26, 2016 Of course I see faults in Hillary. She is a horrible public speaker. She has said a ton of non PC things... things that would help Trump... but hurt her because of the scrutiny she is under. Her involvement with Walmart troubles me... seeing I have had a lifelong boycott against them. She could stand to be more protectionist in her trade policy... and wish she was as Pro Union as John Edwards was in 2008. She lost her looks over the last decade and a half and that hurts her in this country and day and age. She is by far and away the most qualified of the choices left and her being President won't hurt America.
May 26, 2016 It's a pretty sad state of affairs when you need someone to explain to you why Trump's comments were racist. The 'rapists and d--- dealers' are a small minority, and his statement made it sound like most illegal immigrants fit that description. If he would have said 'most of the people from Mexico are good people, but some are d--- dealers and criminals', that'd be a different story. and how about retweeting white supremacists posting bogus crime statistics that vilify black people? and not knowing whether or not it's a good idea to condemn the f---ing KKK and David Duke? give me a break. You sound like Sean Hannity.
May 26, 2016 He said that they ARE rapists and d--- dealers and he ASSUMED some are good people.... leaving the chance that maybe all of them are rapists and d--- dealers. The facts are undocumented workers are less likely to be involved in street crime than US citizens. Trump probably actually knows this... in the past, Trump used illegal immigrants to build Trump Tower... and today he prefers foreign workers on H1b visas to work on his properties almost exclusively over American born citizens. He exploits immigrants for their labor and he exploits the fear of immigrants for the votes of easily fooled racist rubes.
