Apples and oranges. First of all, none of those countries have a Second Amendment. If we were to pass disarmament here a la Japan or Australia it would not only be totally unconstitutional, but would probably lead to civil war. Second, the cartels and consequently the criminals would still have guns, and there’d be no stopping them. America isn’t an island like Australia. It would be impossible to effectively guard the whole of the southern and northern US borders. (On a side note, isn’t it interesting that the vast B*** of gun reform proponents also advocate open borders?) Even if you’re proposing some kind of mild-reformist variant, what makes you think that that will curtail gun crime?* Canada actually relaxed its gun laws a bit and the crime rate didn’t really change all that much.

*Which, according to FBI crime stats, is on the decline. You do understand that despite all the media hoopla gun crime in this country has already dropped to a 50-year low? It literally hasn't been this low since the mid ‘60s. I’ll bet you didn’t even know that.

guns should be forbidden to civilians
please can someone post a stadistic that how many times owning a gun helps in security (ik if i'm explaining well)
In Spain there's no shootings in school and guns are banned, Like four years ago a teenager fanatic of war videogames built an homemade cross and killed a teacher with it. Imegine if this teenager had access to a gun, s--- woud be even more awful. Having more guns just increases the shootings and creates more death not helps anything.

@Koolo I need to snitch on hard klyntar to my authorities as my president instructed me to, please provide me with his information so I can comply.
He's explicitly talked several times the past couple days about shooting up schools and about killing everyone around him before killing himself like a p----.
I know he doesn't have the money, intelligence, or social skills to actually purchase a gun even in America but even so I am concerned for other young people's safety. Thanks

I live 10 minutes from Newark and I never once in my life needed a gun. Gun nuts will come up with any reason so you don't take away their ridiculous high powered rifles. There's no reason to have an AR 15. This kid worked at the dollar store and would've never been able to afford an illegal weapon off the street

If you live around Newark and don’t have a gun that’s shady as f---. Idk how you can do it and feel comfortable without one during these times. I think there’s more people here who own a gun than people are letting on.

Me and a few friends went to Newark to a train station this recent weekend to go to New York. Obviously couldn’t carry my gun across state lines so was a little paranoid but I guess I can’t say anything really bad happened in newark. First time I was there. I walked by the Empire State Building and we were going to in and pay to go to the top. But while walking by it, i got a real uneasy feeling and couldn’t bring myself to go inside. I think in New York you can’t have carry guns so I wasn’t too worried about others having one. If they made a law like that everywhere I would feel a little better.

The problem is, if someone has murderous intent there's really nothing you can do to stop them from committing violent crime. People like to fixate on guns, but you don't need a gun to go out and k--- a bunch of people (recall eg the OKC bombing). You also need to realize that guns will always be available in this country to anyone who happens to want to buy one, legally or not, and has enough money to do so.

Luckily however gun crime in America is currently the lowest it's been in decades. It's getting better, not worse, so whatever we're already doing in the way of combating gun violence, it's clearly working.

Yeah by having more mass shootings, we're actually lowering the population which equates to less people that can possibly commit future violent crimes. I think this is the best way to keep chances of future mass shootings down. What a time to be alive
