    Anyone who suggested to arm teachers, I suggest you read this piece. Can you imagine being a highschool teacher in an under funded public school, not making nearly as much as you probably should & then having the state deem you the first line of defense against a potential school shooter? It’s totally selfish to expect teachers to take a bullet for someone else’s kid.

    Not to mention teachers aren't police or military personnel on guard like wtf would they do just pull our their AR and s---t back from across the hallway?

    Just imagine having teachers with guns .
    What if some of them get mad at the students and ends up shooting the whole class

    Teachers are already banging their students and now the ugly one's will be doing it by gun point. I don't want to live in a world where ugly teachers get to have sex with their students

    The Florida shooter didn’t use a bump stock but the Vegas shooter I believe did. This is mostly symbolic but it’s something. It’s a tiny start toward what should be vast firearm reform.

    You gotta be a real piece of s--- to stand by as some kid gets shot. I don't think they should be armed by any means, but d---, at least let the kid live their life if you can do something about it like the football coach from this past event

    Not everyone has the courage to be the hero. I applaud people like the football coach who make the ultimate sacrifice & put their life on the line but to expect action like that from every teacher is selfish. Imagine being a teacher who just had a son/daughter & then the state and/or parents expecting you to act as a human shield for their kid.

    A fraction political right seems to always do this after a mass shooting to try to take the conversation away from gun control. They did the same s--- after Sandy Hook.

    If trump says he wants to arm teachers, that’s bringing guns into the classroom. Can we all just imagine this scenario for a second: police get a call of an active shooter on campus so they rush to the school & now have to go in & neutralize the threat with teachers on edge & armed & perhaps even exchanging fire with the shooter. That scenario just screams bad idea. How will police be able to identify who’s the shooter & who isn’t? What’s to say one of the teachers under so much pressure & stress doesn’t accidentally fire at an incoming officer? How are children more safe by being in the middle of a s---t out?
