Apr 14, 2015 No he's not. And the album was another half step above Born Sinner. Which was like a half step (or maybe more) above Cole World. edit: this doesnt mean cole's bad. he's not. but there about like 30 other hip hop artists between him and a top 10 list lol
Apr 14, 2015 I thought Born Sinner was better than Forrest Hill. Seemed like a more interesting project as a whole.
Apr 14, 2015 Yeah top 5 is pretty ridiculous, he doesnt do anything too new or interesting, but the dude has better rhymes and song concepts than your 'average' rapper if you ask me, and FHD showed him really trying, 70% of rappers don't even really know what trying is now a days...
Apr 14, 2015 What? You mean 70% im basing this on the obnoxious amount of trap rappers who jumped on the scene once it became big and can't write a song to save their life, and don't even bother trying, Obviously it's just a guess though
Apr 14, 2015 Cole's reached a point where he is actually popular with the "casual" fan of hip-hop whether that's interpreted as good or bad idk. From a stan's perspective I thought his latest album was a step in a better direction whereas his two previous efforts sounded like he was trying too hard to make a "real classic abum".
Apr 14, 2015 I honestly appreciate an artist putting effort in though, i personally enjoy music more when they're pushing for something...
Apr 14, 2015 i'd rather take drake phoning in a hit like Energy than Cole trying his hardest and coming up with "Let Nas Down" idk
