Mar 19, 2015 My logic was that I didn't feel it quite deserved 9.5+ but it's still a phenomenal album. Arguing between 9.0 and 9.4 is really just splitting hairs for the most part
Mar 19, 2015 I don't think its length is quite justified. I'm a person who prefers shorter albums (40-50 min is the sweet spot for me), but I tried to be objective. The music itself is too good for me to dock it that much for that.
Apr 18, 2017 Bump @BigCountry still a 9.4? Listening now and I love it. I flip flop between thinking its great and thinking its alright. Masterpiece and average. Never garbage tho 7 songs in and there's nothing here that turns me off today. Maybe it was Mortal Man, that's gotta be it
Apr 18, 2017 lol def not. Rating was discussed as a staff. Some wanted to give it closer to a 10. I was hovering around the 9 mark (I swear I'm not trying to save face but I wanted to give it an 8.8 but thought no one would be down with below a 9). So we ended up on 9.4. This was, like, the third or fourth review I ever wrote so it's whatever. It was a good lesson in critisicim for me, lol.
