Dec 30, 2014 Only really listened to FHD once in passing so can't make comment on it, but #2 and #3 were great. Saw RTJ live a couple weeks ago and it was amazing. YG should be on the list imo Sad at the lack of Common love. Nobody's smiling was a great intro for me to him, but what did you guys think of the album?
Dec 30, 2014 Nobody's Smiling has it's highs and lows and it was a bit more gritty than I normally expected from the album's producer No. ID. As a huge Common fan I would definitely encourage you to explore more of his work since he's one of the premier conscious rappers of all-time. Resurrection, One Day It'll All Make Sense, Like Water For Chocolate and my personal favorite Be are all imo hip-hop essentials.
