You're right, lots of creative skills can be acquired, but taste is what makes the difference. Taste is a gift. Taste is hard to learn. Relevant: You also type like a inbred blind person having a manic attack. Let us know when you're creative enough to put a sentence together.
Nov 3, 2016 completely depends on what u mean taste when it comes to art is worthless that just limits u from ur possibilities but ya if its serving some actual function like design then taste is important also >actually bothering to type properly on a forum
Nov 3, 2016 music is different, it requires a set of skills other than just creativity. im talking strictly about creativity only, other skills can easily be inherited but creativity is simply a mindstate and a way of thinking. your brain isnt pre-wired with a "creativity" function if ur lucky thats just not how it works
Nov 3, 2016 but thats incorrect taste is just about the only thing that matters in art everything and anything is or can be art, the taste someone has in art is just about the only important thing unless you're the one creating it, and even then your taste is going to influence your output if anything taste is more irrelevant in design because you have to go with what works and not with what you "like". i think u got ur terms backwards
Nov 3, 2016 i think im just thinking different when i hear the word taste, to me its like pretentious trying to find a way to describe some styles more refined and better than others which makes more sense in design than in art bc in art u decide fully what ur art is supposed to do.. tasteless can be genius
Nov 3, 2016 i dont want 2 spend paragraphs explaining the school system but basically ive been studying design for 4 years (ik u started when u were like 12 ur senpai 2 me), and spent an entire year working full time for one of the regions best agencies for free to earn my title and my experience. after this ive continued working in the business beside part time school. so ya im 18, am still in school and i know i dont have as much experience as u but im not completely clueless
