May 15, 2017 No hate Michael ily I just don't think you understand how bad it looks on us to have an em sxn in 2017
May 15, 2017 Lately if I look I see so many s--- threads lmao Spam bs and s--- about BIRDS IS A CLASSIC and stuff like that. 'Quality content'. Honestly dont think eminem stans are the main problem. And the threads made with 'eminem sucks' or the responses, just ignore it instead
May 15, 2017 Lol I didn't even join to discuss it. Just joined to cop a leak. But then I decided to stay and post. And because we listened to Shady XV (I hated it for the most part) means that we cant be discussed with about other artists? Not trying to defend Em right now or anything, just trying to clarify how this works lol. Im no dedicated Eminem fan anymore either. Being here opened my mind to many other artists. I have lots of other favorite artists that I stan more then I do Em. For example though, I don't like Thug or Future. Because of this, I stay out of their sections. Im not upset by their sections, even though I think they are cancer. I don't want them to be removed though because I get that there are lots of fans of their music and that they are active sections. I do agree that people in the Em SXN are embarrassing to yall. Theyre embarrassing to me too. But I don't think that the entire section should be abolished because of that. You cant deny that Eminem is one of the most popular artists.
May 15, 2017 I get what you're saying @Skippy I guess my point is people post what they want to. If the other sxns are poppin with modern rap fans that's great, if people want to make a 1k+ thread about an album that still has no news, that's also great. The 'modern' fans spill over into Em threads to say how much they hate him and some Em fans spill over into the other sxns to hate. It's both ways. If the argument is that people posting so heavily on the Em sxn is 'scaring away' new people then I'm confused. I don't see this as a platform that promotes Eminem especially over everyone else, people just post where they post. You've mentioned some ideas already, but I think focusing on ways to drum up more convo in the sxns you're talking about, and attracting more younger people to the site is the best way to solve it. Deleting 'eminem cancer' will only solve like 30% of your problem imo.
May 15, 2017 lol respect, i know i deserve hate for liking eminem, maybe removing the section is best for my rep as well haha
May 15, 2017 Now Im all with this idea lmao using the word classic should just be banned lol. seems to be a big problem here
May 15, 2017 It's not that the site is promoting eminem too much, it's that the site needed the Eminem sxn as a foundation to be able to grow but now at this point the sxn has become so cancerous it makes new members not want to join and all you guys (that just so happen to have been stans at some point or another) can swear up and down that it isn't the case but as I've said before both irl and url friends of mine have told me they were turned away by how the old heads act on here The Eminem sxn is the whole reason have these bad old head members get rid of it and eventually they'll either recluse into the em thread or get burnt out and leave making room for new members who won't be annoyed by the stans cuz they're gone
May 15, 2017 Like I'm not saying every trash reel hip hop head is an Eminem fan but take away the artist that most closely represents that ideology and you'll be turning away the current ones will dissauding more from joining once again making room for ppl that actively discuss all types of rap music not just one guy who was hot in 2004
May 15, 2017 Tbh though why would seeing an Eminem sxn turn anyone away. Have you heard anyone say that?
May 15, 2017 But why would that matter to them Im just trying to figure out why someone cant just ignore it I guess, ignore me lol
May 15, 2017 Well there are also people who swear by rap and say 'lol pop trash' etc. I honestly think the close minded part is a problem and not just eminem fans alone. The dust head vs new rap fans is also s--- but also works both ways
May 15, 2017 s--- ain't appealing to anyone other than foreigners and people who haven't been in touch with rap or the culture since 2005.
