May 15, 2017 Yes but the site is dedicated to rap discussion I mean trust me I'd love to have meaningful discussions on country music pop music whatever but as of rn we're mostly a rap forum, and its hard to generate discussion when half of that forum quit paying attention to the genre in the mid 2000s
May 15, 2017 Because whereas ppl like me consider em sxn to be cringe because he and his fans are stuck in a time warp from 2002, em sxn users consider future/thug to be cringe because they don't fit into an arbitrary rules of what the genre should be. It's a constricting mindset and most modern rap fans consider it tiring like you can't argue w every single old head cuz then u turn out like Narsh just regurgitating the same points over and over it gets old and its annoying when like 1/4 of a thread is that kinda mentality, as a guest lurking your decision basically becomes do you want to deal w ppl who hate on everything new at s80 or go somewhere like ktt where their problem is hypebeasts
May 15, 2017 I don't consider them to be cringe, I just don't like their music. I get what you mean, although I think the hate towards new artists and music has gotten better here. I haven't see too much of it at least I do get what youre saying though
May 15, 2017 It depends on the artist also. A lot of rappers are still active and making good music, rappers who were also popular 10 years ago. Not everyone likes designer/travis scott/thug/future etc which is fine. I personally think they are hit or miss -thug- but like I said it kinda works both ways. I totally agree btw with your purpose that (some) people who only like eminem are r-----s and dont add s--- but I don't think they are the only/main problem.
May 15, 2017 Well that isnt true. I totally get that thug doesnt get love from everyone. I needed a lot of time to get into his music and he is now hit or miss for me. I appreciate him, and the dude has a lot of classic/talent but its unfair to write people who dont like him off like that.

A lotta the cole stans and kenny stans are pretentious and delusional and don't even get me started on the f---ing jazz historian post-tpab d-ck riders and there's certainly a fair share of shitposters that are regulars of the other SXNs but out of everything I'd say the Eminem sxn is the worst
May 15, 2017 Well, I agree there is many s-----y posting going on in there... nonetheless, to be complety fair, Em SXN receives as much unfounded hate as it delivers... you have 200 Em stans, and 200 regular haters who hate on ''non-cancerous'' posters (or even create specific threads in there calling out Em fans) who are just expressing their opinion on something as banal as music, just because they hate Eminem. So, sure close the SXN... yet ban those haters too to be fair and square.
May 15, 2017 I'm fully aware there are exceptions to the rules but the majority of em stans hold these views to some degree or another, half of all those tech n9ne/immortal technique/hopsin/shady records songs that are just about the only other thing they listen to are about how much better they are than mainstream trendy rappers and those are the ppl em stans are talking about when they're not taking about Eminem

May 15, 2017 I wouldn't mind it being gone. Then again I would say like 65% of S80 posts there & like @Koolo said it's one of few results when looking for hip hop/Em forum and I don't think he wants to lose that.
