May 15, 2017 idk, I'm new to this forum and I joined bc of Em. I get that stans are annoying but Shady camp are horrible with updates and news and there isn't really anywhere to discuss Marshall but here (even though most threads are just arguin why he's NOT good anymore) If you guys decide to delete Em sxn that's cool, I will still post, but It seems a bit unfair to delete an entire sxn bc you don't care for the artist and some of their fans. And I'm sure the more extreme stans will be on a rampage f---ing up the other threads for yall.
May 15, 2017 Guys this thread isn't saying "Skippy dislikes Eminem so we should remove his sxn", some of y'all don't get it cuz you're too detatched from the culture but like Eminem is universally considered a cancer by rap fans under 25 who don't live in trailer parks or foreign countries, his presence and the presence of his fans actively dissuades most fans of modern rap so we're stuck with the same two dozen ppl discussing the same handfuls of artists while 50% of the discussion goes towards nizzy threads. Notice how everyone who's saying "idk I don't think that will change things" is like in their 30s and grew up on Eminem ily but y'all are way way too far removed from the current culture to understand how a modern youth perceives rap, and if we want to attract more quality users w quality opinions and less jazz historians and eminem fanatics we need to make a change.
May 15, 2017 And when his album drops we'd still bring back the sxn, and in the meantime I'm sure there would be one general Eminem thread where all the cancer could hang out and discuss Eminems toenail fungus, I'm not proposing an elimination of Eminem discussion (despite how much I'd love that) I'm just saying we shouldn't have it be our main platform If a segment of the s80 user base is so cancerous that the argument is "they'll s--- up the rest of the forum" f---ing ban them we don't need those types of ppl on s80 regardless of who they stan

I also do agree with you that most of the Em SXN is cancer, I do believe that removing it wont help us grow at all. It will internally, but if you remove the d--- separating the Em SXN and the rest of the forum all h--- will break loose

May 15, 2017 It seems like the argument I'm getting is "we've been acommadating the stans for so long if we stop now they'll sperg out" but f--- that we shouldn't have acommadated them to begin with, instead we should be focusing on ppl who will bring activity with discussion of current and upcoming artists, but the majority of Eminem sxn users directly oppose those types of ppl
May 15, 2017 But why not then just keep the sxn and let them do it there. If it spreads to other threads then ban them. And there are lots of Eminem fans whether you like it or not lol. Eminem fans bring traffic. Then ignore the Eminem sxn users and let them complain. If they bait other threads then they should be banned. But why remove the biggest rap artist from the forum when he finally decides to release info it will bring lots of members. He's how I got here, and while I was an annoying Em stan at first, I feel I have grown and gotten better. Goldy came here because of Shady XV. there are plenty of good members who can come from the Em SXN. Im all for banning people like Conspiracy g--- and pistol pistol though

May 15, 2017 That's not a shot at you or @Goldy either I would actually consider yall the types of stans we should keep around (to some degree, y'all still annoying sometimes) but like the mentality of a dedicated Eminem fan is so different from the mentality of any other modern artist fanbase that it creates a divide and that's unhealthy for the site we shouldn't let ANY artist fanbase corrupt the social dynamic especially a washed old man that releases a good song about once every 4 years

Only kenny and Cole SXNs come close to being as bad and they're not shi--ing up the threads as much as em stans Like again this is about how we look to potential users who would bring activity around current music most of which are in the 16-25 american/british/australian teen and young adult demographic and they don't feel the same way a full grown adult from the Netherlands who's been on Eminem forums for x years feels y'know?
