Jun 4, 2019 its already an election year. and to that point she has vulnerable members she needs to protect. the polling doesnt lie - the american people dont want impeachment. we just routed trent's loser party by sticking to specific a message playbook. there's definite arguments FOR impeachment im open towards.... but saying pelosi is doing this out of cowardice is just wrong. i think its pretty courageous to ignore the dopey instincts of commentators/political twitter and IF they eventually go for impeachment, itll be bc theres enough political momentum to support it. we're playing chess not checkers ffs youre such a goofy sad weirdo lol. ill say this: her approval rating is pretty close to trumps, dummy..... and its about 10 points higher than paul ryans lol (and even higher than boehners). most popular speaker in almost a decade.
Jun 4, 2019 You’re the f---ing weirdo that went and picked Narsh up during a rain storm and took him to the bar for a drink. That’s some gay s---. And there will be zero s--- talking about Paul Ryan. He’s one of my all time favorite politicians. I really think he should be president next and would make a great president. I would vote for him out of any other potential candidate. He would destroy any democratic candidate that would attempt to run against him. Have fun with Trump as your president into 2024, with no democrats that stand a chance against him. MAGA 2020-2024.
Jun 4, 2019 remember when he tried to be vice president and lost miserably to Joe Biden? btw, you're the only person I've seen say anything positive about Paul Ryan in the past 2-3 years lol. Total fraud, horrific leader
Jun 4, 2019 Narsh was a random online forum member that you picked up in the rain. You don’t find that strange? How bad did your car stink from the smelly f---. The only online forum member I ran down on was redsoxx. I believe I found him walking down the street, me and my brother in law pulled over i yelled his name and stepped out and he took off running like it was the end of the world. Straight b---- made s---. I can have someone back this up.
Jun 4, 2019 You’re a huge Pelosi fan, yet you have the audacity to talk s--- on Paul Ryan. I know tons of people who love the guy. Obama wanted Biden as his Vice President. Obviously the votes were manipulated so Ryan wouldn’t be Vice President. You’re literally one of the few I ever heard disliking the guy. I’m pretty sure me and Perry backed Paul Ryan up on sl too. Paul is far from a fraud. He’s loyal to the constitution of this country. Something crooked Hillary and Barry, I mean Obama tried to shred up and make their own constitution.
Jun 4, 2019 The premise here simply isn’t true though. This idea that impeachment will leave Dems vulnerable is rooted in a disingenuous reading of history. A vast majority of the American public did not support Nixon being impeached & it wasn’t until two weeks before Nixon resigned that a majority of Americans did approve. Even IF this theory were true though, this idea that Pelosi is obligated to do what is best for her party over the country as a whole is sooo wrong. What precedent does it set if Democrats allow a president to break the law with no consequences? The impeachment process exists for a reason. We have checks and balances to insure no branch abuses their power. Pelosi & House Democrats have an obligation to be a check on the executive & right now; she’s not doing her job.
Jun 4, 2019 Why do you accuse Paul Ryan of being a piece of s---? Because he follows the constitution and is for protecting our gun rights from the government taking total control the exact same way Hitler did? You have some explaining to do.
Jun 4, 2019 Counter: it is true. Polling is more advanced in 2019, and I guarantee her people have a sophisticated rationale for resisting this well meaning, but exhausting and futile process. Dems winning is what's right for the country. Trump... will not be removed from office by this process. And even if he is, Pence will be in charge, emboldened. And if Dems fail, Trump will have the boogeyman he needs to run buck wild in '20. But that's not even my point: you initially said Pelosi was being a cowardly establishment politician by allowing Trump to stay. I think - like Ford pardoning Nixon - this could eventually be seen as her as attempting to limit the country from a guaranteed political bloodbath. It's honorable and - I expect - politically smart.
Jun 4, 2019 Com’on Andy lol. If your argument is “she has her reasons,” that’s really not an argument at all. Right & that can be done. Democrats can walk & chew gum at the same time. It doesn’t have to be this either or scenario. Holding public impeachment hearings w/ testimonies from people that work/worked in trump’s administration that will detail the lengths of his misconduct, isn’t going to hurt democrats lol. Even if it falls flat in the senate (which it likely would..you’re right), it forces Republican to have to double down & defend a president who committed federal crimes. Refusing to do what’s right because you’re scared of a potential political fallout that’s not based on accurate historical understanding is political cowardice. Ford pardoning Nixon was a terrible decision & probably an abuse of the president’s pardoning power btw. Edit: this is relevant
Jun 5, 2019 if impeached, would trump have to be found guilty of a crime to be removed from office? or could it be confirmed by matter of opinion that he's just unfit for presidency?
Jun 5, 2019 If by “found guilty” you mean ruled guilty by a jury in a trial, no. Basically, the house would hold hearings then would vote to impeach trump on X crimes. It would then move to the senate which would hold something similar to a trial where senators would act as the jury. Senators would ask direct questions to the president under oath & after would vote whether or not to remove him from office. Even if the senate votes to remove the president from office (by 2/3rd majority as required) he would not be arrested/sent to prison right away. The senate would refer charges to the DOJ who would then charge/indict the president as a private citizen where he would stand in an actual criminal trial. Basically, the impeachment process does not replace the criminal process. It is entirely separate. In the constitution, impeachment is specifically reserved for “high crimes & misdemeanors” so no, Congress cannot impeach a president for simply being “unfit.” However, the 25th amendment does allow the president’s cabinet & Vice President to remove the president from office if they feel he is “unfit to serve.” Does not have to involve a crime.
