we shouldnt let what these animals did strip us from our humanity, you are talking about defenseless children, women...old people..that cant fight..that have nowhere to go

the situation is tricky, but remember...these people did nothing wrong, and denying them all safe place is letting the bad guys win

To an extent, I agree with you... with all allusions to the Holocaust and Japanese internment, #darfur etc.

Still, it's all worth acknowledging the Tsarnaevs applied for asylum in the US, citing fears of deadly persecution due to the family's ties to Chechnya. So it's not merely active terrorists, but allowing young men in who are angry, traumatized... and potentially radicalized. (Do we just let women in then orrrrrrr)

In seriousness, perhaps there should be some type of protocol which better encourages assimilation into the US. a job training, vocational program, idk

Its almost the same risk as letting a bunch of starving kids from Africa settle here. Some might bring serious diseases. Honestly its not just about the threat some of them will be ISIS. We can't afford to house and feed and employ all these refugees.

There's a skills gap problem in Massachusetts now. And I believe across the country too.

Don't really know about the situation in America but it would be useless in Europe.
There are already 900 jihadists on Belgium, so if they want to attack they don't need refugees.

But if indeed cause I heard it America is to far from Isis and they need refugees for terrorist attacks then maybe it would be better if America gives financial support to European and even more Arab countries to be able to support the eventual cost of the refugees

Yeah but right now they go to European countries who can't handle all of them either. Where else should they go?

It's f---ing awful what's happening to them. But what about our safety? How can American safety be put 1st if you take a risk like this?

I feel like we an help in so many other ways that does not pose a risk to our own countries though. I think everyone should get together and send ground troops in and light them up and give these refugees their own country back.

But at the other side the only states that are against refugees are republican, and most of the time, when a republican agrees with something than you know the opposite is right

i agree. unfortunately, it's probably politically untenable--the left would say it's imperialist and the right would say it's a threat to national security.
