Sep 22, 2016 His voice sounds hoarse af. Its basically shot at this point, isn't it? Recovery really did some damage to his voice...
Sep 22, 2016 I'd rather him start sounding his age and make one more album from a more mature perspective than have him doing that choppy high pitched s--- that should've been dropped a while ago
Sep 22, 2016 it's not mixed good. there's some fucky sounding compression going on with his vocal track.
Sep 22, 2016 I like the verse a lot tbh on first listen. I think theres only so much you can do w a Skylar Grey track. Wish he wouldve came back w a collab w another rapper. Cant complain tho, im pumped for more now.
Sep 22, 2016 1) Instrumental changes when he raps. I like that violin thing or however you call it effect in the background. 2) Flow isn't the best, but has been improved. I like the voice and the line when he says "You love me is all that matters to someone who had a collateral damage". Sounds very genuine. 3) He should have had some singing or a bridge. The stop and go flow. 4) The production is terrible. I don't know if it's going to be like this on CD, but even I could make it sound cleaner with my basic GaraBand-like knowledge. I was expecting a better verse, but I still like it. It keeps growing on every other listen. The changed instrumental part is the best, the prodcution is the worst aspect of the song.
Sep 22, 2016 Agreed, that'd be dope to make an Eminem Show type album with an older prespective with newer production, like an oxymoron almost. Eminem's never been good at mixing. He doesn't have "it" like Dre does.
Sep 22, 2016 I am listening to the Rolling Stone link http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/eminem-skylar-grey-reunite-for-new-song-k----for-you-w441499
Sep 22, 2016 okay this is great, on third listen, only part i dont like is when he goes "that" at the end of the verse
