16 years ago till this day Slim Shady LP was born. Everybody loved the crazy pscyhotic white boy, & since then his name stuck with him for the rest of life. Things began to pick up when Eminem developed his sadistic, ultra-violent alter ego Slim Shady. The character, a drug-dealing, bloodthirsty thug who spits furious rhymes about murder, r---, drugs and living by the law of the urban jungle allowed Eminem to express his rage and resentment.

It has aged really well & has earned 5,433,000 possibly more & climbing higher as we continue on. Post in the comments what you enjoy from this album, what are your favorite beats, songs, & where you do rank it in his list of albums.

This album has always been my favorite, favorite song is Role Model as I said previously before in the past in various threads. The beat is original and nothing out there is remotely close to it. I give this album 9.5/10, could have been a 10 if it wasn't for several things leading towards the end of the album which isn't worth speaking of, so i'll just leave at this.

i f---in hated my name is when it first came out, so i hated eminem also... then my buddy got the cd through bmg and played guilty conscience for me, and i was like whaaaat, listened to the rest of the album and i liked it so much he gave me the cd lol. the print was f----- up on it too it had 2 pills instead of one, but one was upside down and just a black outline on the left side then the regular on the right.

I remember when my older brother played this for the first time. I was 10 and it changed my taste in music forever. This and his next 2 albums were like therapy for me when I was going through some horrible bs when I was a teenager. Got me through it. If I was angry depressed or upset these albums would fix me. Still do to this day tbh and even though his latest s--- aint that good, I will always consider him to be my all time favorite artist because of that. As for the sslp I dont dislike a single song. The mmlp is my favorite album of all time but I give sslp a 9/10.

Heard My Name Is on the radio when I was about 14.. first time ive heard a "chart" song full of bleeps and wanted to know what he was saying that was so explicit they couldnt play on the radio... got the special edition SSLP for my birthday a few weeks later... truly great album and as already said, has aged very well.
