    This pretty much.

It's like taking Metallica or Iron Maiden for example. Those guys are 30 years removed from prime but still headline and attract massive crowds of people of different ages.

Eminem for example broke a record in 2014 at Wembley stadium with 90 000 people. He sold out the place more than once and he was far from being at the height of his popularity.

Again breaking a record in 2019 of over 80 000 people.

Would it make more sense to have artists who are young, current and in their prime? Probably. But saying people don't care is just wrong. More people care about seeing these guys live than a lot of newer artists.

you need acts that appeal to multiple generations. only a few artists fit the bill.
you also need acts that have a deep enough discography.

dont think its crazy to add olivia rodrigo or w/e next gen act too to connect w gen z. but this is all hypothetical anyhow

You know who hasn't done it?? Drake. Drake would attract Millennials and Gen Z ... and more than ..(i hate to admit this) Dre,Snoop, and Eminem. I guess if Ice Cube is involved, it makes it more mainstream.

LOL ... Dre/Snoop/Cube/Eminem are not in the same mainstream appeal as:

    • Drake +150
    • Taylor Swift +175
    • Lizzo +400
    • Cardi B +400
    • Billie Eilish +600
    • Miley Cyrus +1000
Though, I'd argue Lizzo and Cardi B. I feel they are too niche for the mainstream.

It would still be a big event. It doesn't get bigger than that in rap nowadays.
