I don't believe Dre out-produced Tha Blue Carpet Treatment or even
Rhythm & Gangsta on this album.

Curious to see what you think of the 2nd half of the album. I thought the first half was pretty good, but 2nd half pretty bad.

Nothing stands out after Skyscrapers. Rest of the album sucks.

If you're a nobody this is a solid album, but if you're Dr. Dre this is a 4/10.

    Compton is leagues better imo

Compton had a lot of other producers....Look it up. Dre is good, but he's always had some help. He has as many flops as hits....We don't know a Dre after Chronic if not for Em

Dre squandered decades of his prime. Every Detox leak or unreleased track we've heard far surpasses anything on this album. The truth is that many of those shelved tracks are outdated now and while we as fans would still love to hear them, Dre will never release them.

This is most likely true, but I also believe he is releasing some of that old stuff little by little or at least using them in new releases. I feel like I can sometimes tell when he releases something "New" that was supposed to be released years ago and it still isn't that good. We may not be missing out on a lot and he proved it on this album.

Did you know Kush and Die Hard are produced by DJ Kahlil?

I need a Doctor - Alex Da Kid

I've been trying to tell people man. He's like Trump. Did something good once or twice and just been living off his name and taking credit or making people think it's him on other people's work. This is why he's so nervous releasing s--- all the time. He knows it isn't that good. There are def some hits on here though, don't get me wrong.

Haven’t heard them yet but Doggystyle basically had two intros, only one with rapping on of course but maybe a nod to that?

Dre has taken credit for a lot of things he didn’t directly contribute to, and many of us have been aware of that for years. But we can’t judge this album as if it’s something he would’ve put out 20 years ago. Dre is 60 now.

As you mentioned, we don't really know what a pure Dre album sounds like after The Chronic. He’s always been a collaborative producer, and a big part of his skill is identifying talent and helping it reach its full potential. We can't just label Dre a fraud or say he was never good. He has an incredible ear for music (had) and knows how to pick the right sounds at the right moments. He’s been in the studio with hundreds of artists, and they don’t call him a genius for no reason.

We also have to remember that Dre has produced a ton of music for other artists and that's what he has spent the majority of his career doing. From Kendrick, to Ice Cube, Game, Jay-Z, Nas, Busta Rhymes. A lot of it people don't realize or don't remember.
