    I might need to listen to this album a few more times…but…

    My first reaction is meh…dre is overrated now?…his image/past is bigger than his quality now…the expectations are so huge now that he can’t live up to it imo…Eminem albums still live up to it imo

    I’m getting from snoop what I expected so I can’t hate on him, I always enjoy some of his stuff he puts out…but dre hype is sooo much higher

    the expectations would be so much less if this wasn’t a collabo album…snoop project would be fine

    I was expecting more but maybe I need to listen to this more…

    Dr.Dre hype train is just unrealistic…he needs to be put back into a category of good producers…he’s past his prime….not GOAT status

    he is better off just producing and featuring on few tracks so there’s not as much pressure…leave it as a snoop album so his reputation stays up

    Yeah, I think this album is just hard to accept for me because it has no West Coast sound to it at all. It seems Dre tried to make this Snoops "Recovery" or "MMLP2" album. Snoop is rapping his a--- off on this album and the beats just don't bring that out for me.

    It is a good album if this was not supposed to have a West Coast sound or Doggystyle sound to it. We were all expecting a Doggystyle (MMLP) album and got a MMLP2 album.

    Sounds pretty decent to me. First Snoop Album I'll finish in a long time. Dre's production is not what is was but it's not the 00's anymore. It's still easy on the ears.

    Also more an intro, but its cool I guess. 6.5/10
    Outta Da Blue
    Snoop and Dre going back and forth is dope as f---, but that awful sample ruins it for me. Hook and beat are cool. 6.5/10
    Hard Knocks
    g.d. this s--- slaps. The beat is f---ing great and Snoop goes in. Halfway though.... the beat switches to a more slow one. Not bad, but it doesn't have the same energy idk. Snoop still raps fine but after being hyped up this second half is just... boring. Then near the end Snoop starts singing in autotune lmao. Such a shame tbh this could have been a classic 7.5/10
    Gorgeous
    It's simple, nothing groundbreaking but I like it. Fun beat (nice combo of vintage Dre with a modern touch), Snoop does his thing and Jhenés hook is dope. 7.5/10
    Last Dance With Mary Jane
    Man.... love this beat and sample. Snoop goes the f--- in and imo so does Jelly Roll on his verse. But for some reason I hate the hook. It's not that bad but it just feels out of place, it ruins the vibe if the song for me. Still, Snoop, Jelly and beat are dope. 8/10

    Now THIS is what I wanted. g.d. I love this song. Beat is so good and modern too, Snoops Watcher opening is fine and he just raps great here. No complaints about this one! 9/10
    Pressure
    It's okay I guess. Snoop and Dre going back and forth on the hook is really cool but then the other guy starts singing... kinda gay tbh. 6.5/10
    Another Part Of Me
    Yeah idk. Its cool that they used this sample and made something different but Snoops singing.. not a huge fan. When he starts rapping its fine though, but then he goes back to singing. 5/10
    Skyscrapers
    This is great. Love the beat, Snoop goes in, hook is greaf and Method Man really kills it! 8.5/10
    Fire
    This is easily my favorite song on here. g.d. I LOVE this beat. Cocoa delivers a great hook and Snoops verses are really good. Played this already so many times lmao. 10/10
    Gunz N Smoke
    Yeah so this is not a bad song. But its one of the weakest beats on here, which makes it kinda boring. 50 is whatever, snoop is good and eminem yeah. I do like the shady parts! Other than thats its a fine verse. But I just wish they gave them more to work with this is kinda underwhelming... 7/10
    Sticcy Situation
    Another favorite. First beat is nice and again Cocoa is a great addition to the song. Then the beat switches and I like the second one even more (unlike Hard Knocks). 8.5/10
    Now Or Never
    Good song, nothing really special. I always like hearing Dre rap so I'm a bit biased maybe. 7.5
    Gangsta Pose
    Really like the first part. Snoop great, dope beat and the hook >>
    Second part I like a little less but still fine. 7/10
    The Negotiator
    Fine outro

    Altogether a good album. Love Snoops energy and a lot of the beats are great. Its not Doggystyle, but its dope to me nontheless.

    The album is fine and gun smoke even grew on me.

    This is no near classic but just the fact that it got to see the light of day makes me happy.

    Didn't read many comments yet, listened a couple of times today and posted this lmao

    What I saw is that some people are mad this doesn't sound like Doggystyle. I'm a nostalgia guy so I get that feeling but I like most of this modern Dre production! What is the general concensus?

    Pretty much what I expected

    Snoop isn't great imo, so like most of his albums this is pretty average

    Id give it a 5.5 or a 6

    I actually don't hate any songs but none of them are great by any means

    I've never really thought snoop was great either. He's never been a lyrical rapper, so you can tell he had some writers on this album.

    Most of his albums are not very good or just average. My favs are Blue Carpet and R&G

    Have you listened to The Last Meal properly? That's my fave album of Snoops. Almost perfect in my eyes. BCT is great but TLM is a lot better imo.
