May 16, 2015 not listening to it as much as i did when it came out, obviously still his best project for me, the transition between every track is amazing, plus that jazzy production, musically it's a masterpiece (lyrically too actually) 97 on metacritic well deserved imo
May 16, 2015 i wasnt feeling it when it first came out then after about 2 weeks i would non stop play it for about 2-3 weeks and now i dont want to listen to it again haha its a good album tho gkmc is alot better imo
May 16, 2015 I think TPAB is more important to the world right now, given the current circumstances and situations happening everywhere. I just think it is a more important release. I think GKMC is just a slice of hood life, whereas TPAB is a universal message promoting black excellence and the improvement of the lives of black people everywhere. In 15 years, I believe we will view GKMC as more important to rap, but TPAB as more important to society as a whole. But that's just me.
May 16, 2015 For me I still prefer GKMC, I haven't real gotten into TPAB as much only a few songs that I play on a regular basis(u, king kunta, hood politics) the rest of the songs are slowly growing on me.
May 16, 2015 still love it. but I get for some people that loving it is complicatEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDD
May 16, 2015 Listened to it one and a half times when I first got it...haven't touched it since (except for King Kunta every now and then).
May 16, 2015 GKMC by far. I think KDots next album needs to be more of a GKMC than a TPAB. He also cannot wait another three years before his next release lol.
May 16, 2015 It has aged terribly so far. Nothing really holds up over time like GKMC did. When GKMC dropped, I listened to it for the rest of the year. With this, here we are a month later not really revisiting it much. On the other hand I'm a big fan of the instrumentation on this album. It's definitely a more complex album, but much less entertaining.
May 16, 2015 Why do we have to put one album above the other? They're both equally amazing in their own right.
May 17, 2015 The production is good but at the same time it bores the f--- out of me. Dre needs to give kendrick about 16 beats that were meant for detox and just let him go.
May 17, 2015 Mortal man (without the interview), How Much a Dollar Cost, and Hood Politics still in rotation.
