So Far could have been a pretty d--- good track, but it's one of those songs where he has several lyrics that make you cringe, and it overall hurts the appeal of the whole thing. Brainless was a solid track, but not really anything more than that -- it was nice to see him rap over a beat he made again, and I thought the hook and verses were fine/good, but there's nothing outstanding about it and it lacks replay value. Love Groundhog day -- would be in my top 10 post-hiatus, but certainly not near the top 10 for him all time.

Guts Over Fear was tricky for me to form a solid opinion on at first. I think the reason it's a very good song is that Em actually sounds like he's matching his current ability, rather than desperately trying to be something he's not. You can initially complain that it doesn't sound like him during his prime (the voice, lyrics, beat, etc.), but there's no screaming or desperate attempt to sound like he's some young punk/psychopath/killer etc. He's embracing the truth of his current situation, and it's a breath of fresh air to hear a track where nothing sounds forced and nothing makes you cringe. He sounds "good" on it, and there's meaningful depth to what he's saying.

It's definitely top 10 for him post-hiatus, but probably near the back or middle end of the list for me. Going Through Changes, Spacebound, Seduction, and especially The Warning are still superior, in my opinion. I'd probably say I enjoy Groundhog Day, Deja Vu, the last part of Bad Guy, and Beautiful more as well. 25 To Life is one I like more than I feel I should, but it's one of my more-played post-hiatus tracks (the annoying screaming flow just seems to work better here than it does on anything else, fueled by the content of the song -- and I really like Khalil's beat). And Fine Line is dope - belongs in the top 10 post-hiatus without question, but again, don't think it sniffs his all time top 10.

Both are pretty forgettable, more so Guts Over Fear.

I'd probably take a majority of MMLP2 over those two tracks.

GOF doesn't get the credit it deserves because he has too many songs with a similar formula so people get bored of that sound.
Its a great song. Eminem needs to do more work with Emile & get rid of Rubin.Emile would be a great replacement for the Bass Brothers.

Emile brought GTC, GOF, Beautiful Pain, and Headlights; which are some of his best post 2009 songs. If he had an album solely produced by him, it could be really really great. Too bad that probably would never happen though

Bad Guy is on the same level in my opinion.
    Groundhog day is pretty close.

Groundhog day is a weird song. It sounds so unique, which is probably the reason I like it so much.

I hate when he raps "fast" on rap god it's cut so many times it really doesn't feel like he can brag about rapping at super sonic speeds

more of you should study writin
I feel sorry that the only thing some people can focus on is the beat or the delivery of a particular track and completely ignore what it takes to actually construct the song

I disagree with MMLP2 being a s--- album, it´s not great but just good imo (and if I look at how people rate it in the other thread, I think it's fair to say that). But I do agree with Fine Line and GoF being better than, at least 80% of the album. I really like both songs, and they are definetely in my top 10 post hiatus. I don't know how I would rank them but I guess since 2009, right now I would say

    Cocaïne
Groundhog Day (I agree with @Myril what he said about it)
    Bad Guy
    GoF
    Fine Line
    GTC
    Deja Vu
    My Mom
    Seduction
    Space Bound/Evil Twin

HM: Brainless, Don't Front, Hello, T2M and a few others

I'm sure thats done for mastering purposes to make it sound better. He's done it live plenty of times without any help from Porter.

They're good songs no doubt. I still rate some stuff on MMLP2 though. I really like chunks of that album, and generally he flows better on it than Shady XV.

I say, that i love that "Country" type of beat, didn't say that the sample was actually a Country song.
