All I'm seeing is this: You are an artist, want to be known, but not willing to do anything more than just music. That's not how the game works. Music speaks for itself only when it's really top notch, but YOU HAVE TO GET PEOPLE'S ATTENTION TO GET THEM TO LISTEN TO YOUR STUFF.

There's too many musicians out there willing to do anything to get one view more than the next guy,

Stop crying and do something more than just record a song and moan on a barely alive forum

You're acting like you're doing a service to people by sharing your music to them (Which is hilarious) when what you're looking for is aknowledgement and that's okay. It's what everyone who shares their work with people seek. Some form of validation. There wouldn't be any point for you to post it otherwise

But it also goes back to Rick's comment of making people care to look into it. There's a s--- ton of music out there. More than most people even have time to check out.

Music videos are a form of "pro social" or whatever you call it, way of getting people interested into music and they have been around forever. So is doing interviews. It's the forum equivalent of having an AV and getting people to know you.

Also, learn how to seperate your wall of text into paragraphs.

Not crying about it - it's the reason why I don't make music. What annoys me is the fact that so many people conform to consumerism rather than just taking things as is without all the extra s---.

Yeah, I agree - there's way too much music out there. It's just that what made me fall in love with music is the opposite of what it turned out to be in the end. I blame being lied to by some of these successful "artists". I know how the game works but it depresses me even thinking about going along with it.

I see some artists, with A LOT of fans, and then I check their instagram and it's just some person with an OF (if the girl is hot, I do follow them on instagram, but I never check out their music). Apparently this "formula" is the norm. Also, I didn't think what I wrote was that long to bother with paragraph spacing... But I have spaced this one.

I will say this... Despite this forum being nearly dead (like all forums), it is one of the least corrupted one. I am not attacking anyone in particular with my "first proper post" in this thread, it is just me speaking my mind in general.

Let's just say music isn't something most people are out there actively seeking unless it's from an established artist. There's an abundance of it. Especially lesser known artists with plenty of talent.

So yea, it's not like you're out here giving out free target gift cards. People have to put actual effort and time to check out your s--- and if we're being real, most times some random comes here with no AV/Posts 9 times out of 10 it's some straight up trash.

Sucks but if you want other people to care, you have to make them care. Unless your good with only your friends and fam hearing it but i'm sure that's not your goal.

Good thing is this thread got you some attention lol
