If you give him any malicious tips such as deleting the entire system, you'll be permanently banned.

do you know nothing? he can easily boot in safe mode and remove this..by simply deleting he doesnt have to reinstall windows.. you should be banned for telling dude to reinstall everything when theres nothing hard to this virus at all

and if you think im going to harm his pc, then you obviously dont know me, :srsguy: but ok

Make a bootable pendrive of a Linux OS (for example Linux Mint), reboot the computer, use the Live USB options, copy your Windows files to another place and later reinstall your operating system

You do realize that it encrypts the files and nothing will be able to get it back unless it's decrypted? "Removing" it won't remove the encryption. Unless restoring to older versions it won't work, I guess you know better than Symantec though

he has cryptowall 3.0 dude, its literally more simple than buttering toast.

the files can be decryped later, first you need to remove the d--- thing lol.. the thing is, is that if its not running at bootup u can delete the s-----y files etc, but the decrypting is where it gets hard, and may result in reinstalling, but if you work it right you dont have to.

If it actually is Cryptowall, you're not going to remove it.

@The kid do you have a disc for your windows?

because either youre going to spend a ton of hours loking for a decrypter, or wasting money, (if its a real cw)

if i can stress this, please dont download s--- from anything untrusted man you f----- yourself here it seems :L

most likely it tagged along with something dude downloaded.. its basically malware, but its not always the case.

for example: predominantly found on suspicious websites, and arrives either via a “drive-by download”, stealth download or through a user clicking on an infected advert. Some distribution via email has also been seen.
this is more often than not the case too:
Even if a person does pay the ransom, the cybercriminals often do not restore functionality. The only reliable way to restore functionality is to remove the malware.
