yeah they always have a few songs I enjoy on their latest albums, but they haven't been the same since hands all over, which was like half old maroon five cuts have new cuts

Hands All Over was definitely the point where s--- hit the fan for me as a M5 fan

I can appreciate that album more with time (and in comparison to their newest ones) but d---... you can really pinpoint exactly where they began their trend toward their current sound, and it was made crystal clear with Moves Like Jagger/Overexposed (still a few gems on that tho)

I almost thought for a second maybe they'd start moving back toward their original sound once I heard V, cause it seemed like a decent mix of their overexposed style/plus that old funky vibe they used to have, and I really enjoyed it for that (that and the fact they kept saying they were going to take it back to the way they used to be), but then we get all the songs from their new album and I'm just at a f---ing loss.

I'm expecting to be severely disappointed with their next one, whenever it comes this year

Yeah, I feel almost exactly the same. It's disappointing they turned it from a band to Adam Levine + friends. Adam Levine's a decent pop singer but he's a much better alt-rock singer.
