    The whole Randy is Lorde thing came from an article written by Spin magazine after the episode where Randy was pretending to be Lorde at the party. They wrote about how South Park thought Lorde was a middle-aged man or something along those lines when it was clearly just Randy imitating Lorde and then the next week's episode was parodying the article and making it so Randy actually is Lorde.

    They're definitely still making the episodes within the week before they air.

    First few seasons were decent at best, I just looked through the episodes for them and not too many good ones especially in the first 2. They definitely got a lot better after that.

    Holy s--- people sayin first few seasons arent as good as later seasons is extremely disconcerning, season 3 is probably the best season of all, so many fantastic moments from the early days

    There's some good moments in the first two seasons of South Park, but overall it's pretty bad. I'd say seasons 3-8 are the best, though 9-14 or so are still great. After that it becomes hit or miss for me.

    south park was the s--- even in the first seasons. It really had that one of a kind feel to it, the childlike innocence mixed with crude dialog is unrepeatable imo, didn't have to rely on referencing current events, the humor was on point always and there was something special about the little details that really made me fall in love with the show and made it charming in a crude way, for example nothing from now beats cartman going to kenny's house and randomly singing "in the ghetto", cartman screaming on his cat, phonics monkey, overall his shenanigans including "respect my authoritah" and tons of other little things that I probably can't recall right now. They simply can't be bothered to throw in these little things anymore.




    At this point, just like every show, the characters evolved and they are more mature so it wouldn't work to continue this. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like the show now or think the characters aren't capable of being funny but it's more hit or miss now because of the significant reliance on pop references and joking about current events, the show doesn't really produce trademark south park scenes/lines and a lot of times now dips into predictability.

    That being said, I'm still enjoying the show and I doubt it will ever get to be as bad as family guy, for example.
